Don't kiss Evernote's a**... This is better After Evernote lost some of my notes to the internet winds, I decided it was time to give one more piece of my trust to Google. Keep proved to be simple, efficient, stylish, handy, feature-laden, cheap, fast, and overall one of the best note taking apps I've found so far (and I've gone through a few). The problem with Evernote is it shoots for the moon and lands in the stratosphere. Google Keep, quite simply, does not have that problem. Thanks Google for perfecting what *should* be simple for any note app.

Very useful in ways you didn't think! Though very simple and easy to use, this note pad style app goes beyond the simple note pad when you discover it's broad capabilities. Attach photos and make lists that can be checked off and have reminders turned on for specific tasks are just a few examples. One thing I would love for them to add is to have PIN or password encrypted notes that allow users to hide sensitive information in a note that can't be viewed unless unlocked.

GREAT NOTE APP! Simple, effective, instantly syncs to other devices Simplicity is the key to this useful app. While it has a few are features than Evernote, I find myself using it more often. Great for quick notes, checklists, and text coped from email or browser. Syncs with desktop version so all your notes are always up to date All your notes are available offline and Google's famous search lets you find them instantly.

Please Add a Web Clipper (screen capture) and Folders :-) Great application. But it would be perfect if you included in my opinion these 2 extra tools that will work together with the app. 1) a web clipper (to screen capture web pages and web content, 2) and Folders (not Labels), for better organizational purposes of our notes. Add these 2 suggestions and you will have the perfect Note application and after I will give you all the 5 stars ;-)

Limited Format view It's very good, simple and easy to use. There are 2 format views : single and multi columns view. However, both of them comes out so huge on the screen. Would be great if the option of list view is also available, which would makes it easier to view and find when you have so many notes. A suggestion to make the app even better.

Brilliant! Not just a note-taking app, but so much more. I love the syncing with devices and quick sharing of notes. Very user-friendly. I also love the labels - awesome stuff. However, if there could be a way to show that a shared note has been received and seen, that would be great. Could you also make the reminder function work across collaborators. It would be great if it did. Then I can set a reminder for someone else through my gadget. Still the best note-taking app.

Almost perfect I love having all my stuff in one place where I can access it on the go or at home. That's why I downloaded this app! However, it keeps crashing whenever I try and delete a note or pin something, so I can't really use it on my phone. :( Please fix the bugs!

Simple&stable&must-hav apps Cover all basic needs for taking notes. However missing few but important function, undo/redo. Cant retrive back words/sentence once hit delete button. And its annoying why decimal numbers are auto-underline. Underline numbers make editing more difficult.

Great when it works This needs an update or something. My girl and I use this for our grocery list and it takes forever to update when opening the app. Add item button dissappears. Half way through adding new items it suddenly finishes loading and deletes whatever I just added. Update.. It seems to be WiFi it has a problem with. Once I disable WiFi and run on 4G it loads fine. Fix this pls!!

Use it all the time... Sharing is a wonderful addition. Now if we could print notes (from desktop/browser), pin notes and have folders or tags (not just colours) we'd be all set. :v). ---UPDATE--- The previous are all there now, except printing!! Keep is awesome.

Ugh!!! None of my notes are getting saved these days 😡. Not even getting updated. I lost all my random ideas thanks to "Keep". Used to work just fine earlier, but now... Ugh it's so annoying

Overdue Reminders Before the update whenever I had multiple reminders that where overdue, I could tap on the notification and those group of reminders where displayed so I could reschedule or delete them. Now however, it opens all of the reminders I have stored (not just the group that where overdue) and have to spend time finding them. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!! Bring it back the way it was before please.

Weird Behavior I don't understand all these positive reviews. It didn't take me long to get strange behavior from this app. Like typing in a note, then having most of it disappear when I thought it was saved, then reappear after trying to type it again. When an app is doing something internal to the phone, I expect that there will be no delay or lag. Is this too much to ask?

Best note app... Best note app that is easy to use and useful. It keeps me organized throughout the days. It's like my second memory since without it I absolutely forget things. Really like that it syncs through Google account so you never have to rewrite notes.

Suggestion (undo or redo option) The app is nice, and I have a suggestion: please put an undo or redo option for this app—so that if ever there be accidental deletions of words (like when you do select all to the words or you do copying and pasting, and you accidentally press any letter and consequently all the words would be erased), an undo option will solve the problem—like control z in computers when something unintended would happen. Further, please provide a view mode as well. Thank you and God bless. :')

Great app. Bugged archiving Longtime daily user. My archived notes since October aren't showing up when I switch to view my Archive. My September and older notes are still at the top. My newer notes show up in search (under Archive) so at least they haven't disappeared.

Starting to mature... Finally tempted me away from Evernote. Just a bit more polish and it would be hard to beat. Few suggestions, 1).Would like to see the ability to collapse labels on the side menu, 2). also would like to be able to add new labels when saving a note, 3). would be nice if we could pin important notes either to the side menu or to the top of the list, 4). Smaller card view option. Thanks for the pin option. Great.

Buggy since 2013 If you haven't had problems with syncing across devices, give it time. You will. It only took a year for me to see it. Google's "experts" in a variety of forums will offer the same advice, all to no avail. Best advice is to find something else before you start losing notes.

Where is the undo feature?! 😠😤😲😭😢 I'm sorry but this is idiotic that there is no undo feature! Use at your own peril when you're taking notes!! Evernote is just a better choice in this case. And Evernote has formatting options and built in quick scanning. Why aren't you listening to users? Many users demand the undo feature. IT'S BEEN AROUND SINCE THE EARLY DAYS OF COMPUTERS!! SERIOUSLY??!! 😠😭😭😭😭😭. WHY?!😭😭😭😭😭

Awesome app Great for keeping up with list and task. I would like a feature added. If a list is shared between multiple people, there should be some type of notification that it was modified. As of right now, the only way I know something was modified is if i open the app, and a tile would be a different color.

Unexplained data loss I found this app really useful and easy to organise, right up until it lost an entire year of notes. It wasn't triggered by any form of app or system update, and there was no warning or error message. The auto-sync had been disabled by what I can only assume was a previous update, and so I lost a year's worth of irreplaceable data (including medical information and allergy-friendly recipe files). I'll be back to using Dropbox for all my note taking from now on.

Bug in latest version-Don't update When i add new list and type details....and press back....it save note but not any text..... old version was working fine... but this is noy working..... i had never expected this Big Error from google..... FYI i am using samsung J7

A very good app on the whole. Editing can be quite wonky, though. For example, when selecting a block of text to delete, sometimes it will delete text prior to the selected block. I've lost lots of important information this way. Google, please correct this.

What a crap app...if you unintentionally delete a note you have no chance to recover it..lost forever.. This ,kind of app , was developed by a junior who is cluless about what undo means.. Stay away or you will regreat....happens to me..fu**** Google keep

Great until changed phone! I was very happy using Keep. Lots of notes, check-lists and recipes all saved and colour-coded for me to use whenever I needed them.... Then I got a new phone! Keep was one of the first apps I downloaded to this wonderful new device. I synced it to my email so I could access all my notes etc, but NOTHING! No notes, check-lists or recipes! I tried syncing the old and new device several times. I tried Bluetooth transfer, I tried archiving and unarchiving. Nothing, nada, niet, ZIP! Did I miss something?

Needs bold, italics, and underline text editing and voice memo capabilities Great notes/reminders app. Love the cross-platform sync and access across all devices (phone, tablet, computer, Chrome, etc.). I gave 4-stars because it falls short on the text-editing capability side such as bold, underline, and italics. It also needs to have a voice memo function. (Audio! Not speech to text!) Otherwise, a very excellent app.

A humble request I am a note addict i note down many things in my life. I can search when i need an info then review. Paper is no good at pressing the backspace. Whatever my request is to change the name of the app to anything that's easier. I mean look at the name. Google keep? Notebook is a better kind of name. I know it's a huge hustle, but google keep? Using the name Google is unnecessary. We know you made this! Come one guy! Also add Printscr>Ctrl+V for screenshot pasting in pc & button for auto time paste in the app.

4 Stars, But... I gave it 4 stars because I love being able to take down notes, color code them, and that they are available on my phone and computer. However, I would love to be able to "pin" a certain note to my home screen on my phone. A widget for Google Keep would be amazing. Will rate 5 stars when there is a widget. :)

Love it but slight compatibility problem Great app. No app is this clean and simple with its given features. I am using the Amazon fire phone which was not made for Google services. I sideload it and it worked great until the latest update for Google services. Now it's broken. 😢

missing sorting preference After editting a note I expect this note to be moved on top. Instead the position remains the same. And preferences are so bad, a lot of options missing including sorting.

Synchronization between phone & web is flakey. Also list items should be able to have sublist bullets too. Would love to be able to add or update cards from Google Now voice commands. Add/Remove to/from list, etc.

Google Pixel. Keep keeps crashing upon starting the app. Should I return my phone? While the addition functions and color schemes extend the capability of an app as a notetaking program, I find that when I do my assignments or type any lengthy document, I run into the maximum character barrier that either forces me to create another note or use another app. Generally, I prefer this app over Google Drive, as Google Drive's app is inaccessible without internet. If Google refuses to remove the character barrier, I am forced to use Evernote--which is quite disappointing as Evernote is rigid in its capabilities. But, if Evernote functions better in the area of taking notes, then my taking notes will occur in Evernote.

Can't live without it Been using this for years now. Grateful its improving all the time. It's literally changed my life. Making sure info and ideas don't slip away is a 2 second process thanks to this app. I must have over 5000 notes by now, plus I can back them up by exporting them. Please, please for the love of God keep supporting this project Google! I would pay for this service!

Need a manual mode for audio note I use this to record pieces of thoughts. However I want to record a whole paragraph but now am being interrupted every sentence!!!!! I want to be able to keep recording audio and manually stop; So my mind doesn't get interrupted!

Not organized anymore I don't know what happened. But some of my note appeared randomly ön top of my lists and not pinned of course... I can't sort my note by date. There's no option like that. I can't believe it. It seemed a really nice app át the first 100 glances. I am really disappointed now. :(

Sync Issues for Years Since original release, app has consistently had sync issues with any other installations. This includes Chrome on Windows 10, iOS app, and Chrome OS. Just this morning I had to re-archive all my notes from yesterday while working on my Chromebook with Keep app installed. Conflicts with edits too. Might be easier to just sync a text document over Dropbox than use this.
