The other day, I was contemplating The vast knowledge of authors such as Sun Tzu, Aristotle, Plato, and how they are but the absolute pinnacle of the light emanating from but a candle next to the master piece that is encompassed in this app. The world forever changed with each and every update to its magnitude. I heard that KEK himself loaded this first upon his tablet before even bug squash.

Love it! I really love Google drive. It provides 15GB of storage for free, this is a must have app for everyone. It would be good if it has passcode feature like in Dropbox. I would give 5 stars but it has one problem. If i want to upload SD card files this app fills up my internal storage, if the file is bigger than the remaining internal storage the file doesn't get upload. Please remove the need of internal storage when the SD card files have to upload.

Just useful. A little drab in appearance for my taste. And while it has improved some, I would like to see Google's apps become more intuitive to use. Just my 2 cents, don't spend em all in one place😉

Great autopilot feature! I love this app specifically because I don't have to drive my own car anymore. If I've had a particularly long & stressful day I just open up this app and it takes care of getting me home. To date I've only had 8 accidents using it but they were nothing compared to the relaxation I got out of not having to drive myself.

Works fine however... Don't like the part where they force you to get Chrome browser on the desktop version. That's Apple isn't it? Works great but there's an issue downloading pictures on the phone many times. Same thing happens in Photos as well and that's irrespective of the device you use.

Drive It a little silly to call it Google's drive but don't like it. Haven't used it yet just downloaded it and was going through the motion of learning it but it more like a desk top app. Not sure I will like it just yet. Will try to use it again soon

Useless with 2 accounts I have a personal account and a work account. Drive will not let me use the two accounts interchangeably and it makes it quite difficult to get anything done. I'd love to just sign out of drive on my personal account. But because it's my main account, it's frustratingly difficult. What's the point of having it if I can't access anything right away? Even on desktop it's difficult. It's annoying using incognito tabs on mobile and desktop just to actually use the app.
No notification for uploaded file I'm no longer receive any notification if the file is successfully uploaded or waiting to upload. So I have to open Drive app and check the status of file to upload, which causes hassle for me every single time. Hope you guys would consider fixing it. Thanks.
Slow and resource consuming When I want to upload some files from my phone to the cloud to save space, it needs even more local space to do it, so it fails when you actually really need it the most. Another problem is its interface: it doesn't display the full file names, because it doesn't wrap text to multiple lines. Another big fail.
After losing hundreds of important files and performing hours of testing, I came to the conclusion that user rights, permissions and file ownership are absolutely unpredictable and totally lack the granularity required in a business environnement. New open source solutions like NextCloud represent a much safer, flexible and cheaper alternative to solutions like Drive or OneDrive. Sorry Google, I used to love Drive, but I'm now 100% convinced this product is a trap.
Very Slow Regardless of Connection I can be the only one using the internet and it takes FOREVER to load videos. Please check this out and make sure it's not just my connection. Otherwise, good storage space. Could use a little more.
Poor sync between Drive and Google Photos. It can cause a real mess when wanting to organise your photos yourself in different Drive folders. The Google Photos app doesn't follow. And if you also backup your WhatsApp stuff to it, be aware... On small screens long filenames get displayed partially, no scrolling. Similar long filenames are impossible to distinguish without opening. And on the side, the web interface is too slow for descent use (even with fast PC and fiber connection). There are better cloud storage services.
Wrongly subscribe account I've accidentally upgrade to 100gb annual subscription for wrong Google account of mine. Have email developers as well as google itself for refund or atleast transfer the subscription to the correct account but after nearly 4weeks still no answer. Very frustrating.
Viewing pictures is broken Pictures used to come up right away and we're pretty clear but for the last couple versions it's almost unusable. Pictures start blurry and take a while to get clear so it's impossible to scroll through pictures. And, if you scroll too fast the program stops loading the pictures at all. Pictures are the main thing I use the app for and they're broken now.
You can't lock out! Sorry to say but I choose dropbox all though Google Drive offers more free space, the fact that you can't lock out of the app is just stupid... As it is now it basically serves the same purpose as the gallery and don't tell me to put a lock on my phone. The thing that makes cloud storage ideal is that it safes you space and keeps certain files away from some people As It Should!
15Gb of storage, what's not to like...... Well actually the only thing I would like is a PC compatible program rather than a web based app. Not everyone in the world has good internet. In Australia our internet is worse than most of the world's war zones.
Latest Update Made it Unusable ! I use Google Drive everyday for years and now the latest update made this app so faulty. Docs keep loading and don't show up. Take a look at this issue Google !
Best all around cloud service I've been comparing them all and Google Drive came out on top. Easier, more reliable, and looks and works way better than the competition. Just bought the 100gb plan and may up that even further, very soon!
Frustrating I have no idea why its not letting me mass select stuff to upload from my phone. It does let you on drive once files are there but won't let me select multiple files to upload to the drive, only 1 at a time and ain't nobody got time for that. Tried loads of stuff but to no end.
Great, must have + fix request Drive Scan, the widget for direct scan to drive used to be great, but for some time, even though the camera focuses clearly, the captured image is totally out of focus. This issue was reported early in 2016. Use CamScanner instead. For storage, use Mega.
Not working properly now. After saving so many files in my drive...Now when I'm uploading my pics in the drive it says waiting to upload but after hours of waiting it is not saved yet. Help me with that.
Its good in general. One of the major drawbacks(at least to me), it does not support the option of notifying you before you copy a duplicated file. It kets you fill your cloud with same file duplicated if you are not sure about whether you upload it before or not. Once this issue is solved,it would be the best
Not that great. Tried to retrieve some photos that I accidentally deleted. Followed every instruction to a tee, and it still wouldn't let me retrieve them. I tried to retrieve them right away after I accidentally deleted them. So you can't use that for an excuse.
Viewing images is a problem Sometimes I'd want to see image files in my folders but they wouldn't load. The thumbnails would load just fine, but when I try to view the image it wouldn't let me.
Combine it with g mail Please combine this with gmail. Need to send a pic to a friend viola there it is. Get a pic from a friend...just save it. Better yet, just combine everything together and call it g2. I really hate that there is a google this and a google that. Tired of having to download another app...how many fricken apps do you have. Taking up space on my android device does not make you look smart...it makes you look disorganized. Do you really think we are so stupid that we can't navigate one page with icons on it. We do the same every day on PCs Apples and androids. There is a screen on the computer/device when you turn it on.
Out of date files My files don't update. I often update on my PC then open the file on my phone. Or I would if the phone opened an up to date copy. I have an Excel file I update on the PC during each week then at the weekend want to open in other places. My phone still opens a really old copy. I have just found if I choose to download a copy that download is up to date but opening direct from google drive always has the first version of the file.
Can't stop the download Ok, let's face it, Google drive is great where you can upload and share the files but what if you mistakenly touched the download of a very large file or several files? Nothing, exactly, it suck up the Internet and there is no way to stop it, no restart, stop the WiFi, shut down, or anything works, you know why? Cause it sucked the Internet out and you are unable to access anything. You have to shut down the device, go through another device, delete the file, sync, turn on the device, quickly update.
Used up all internal storage space I tried to upload photos from my sd card onto drive but it instead filled up all the available storage on my phone (70% to 99%), blocking me from doing anything else on my phone. The upload locked up about halfway through, and my phone was so full that i had to uninstall drive in order to do anything else. This app must duplicate photos in internal storage before uploading, which is pretty stupid since the whole point of uploading was to free up space on my phone to begin with. Please FIX!
Ok but needs security and upload status Drive is a great app, but it's missing a few things. Security. The app doesn't currently offer pin, password or fingerprint lock options the way Dropbox or OneDrive does. Also, instead of telling me whenever every file has been uploaded (a huge annoyance on multiple uploads), just have a progress bar in the notification area showing upload progress.
bad sync mechanism you should clearly state drive is purely a storage system. if you need the content to be updated on the fly this app does not serve the purpose. very basic compared to Box or Dropbox.
Works very slow You forced ne to update this app. But this new version works much much slower. Google!! Can you test before release? Why every update works slower and has more bugs than the old versions? Why you give all you projects to students-programmers who do not know nothing about optimization??
This is the best online data storage app One thing i want that should be available, is the option of locking the specified folders via pattern or pincode , by this security will b more enhanced , so if any of your frnd open drive by mistake so he or she can't b able to see ur what's in the folders. Please google smart devolpers make this happen
great but insecure its a great app where can i can keep all my important documents but i want to set a password or kinnda secure it from other people who come in touch with my phone..i hope to see a password creation in the settings colum in the next update
Garbage Useless app. Can't upload files using network. Only will upload using wifi. How are you supposed to access your stuff on the go..? Also cannot share pictures as they come up as copyright protected? Uninstalled.
I can't beleive please pinch me I never seen like this app before love u makers first i wooried about my data but after this app i never. just one tap and your data safe this update clear my all issues like audio and simple steps of uploading
Google drive Update, as they say, now that I've been using Google Drive for a while I've become dependant on it for storing all my photo's. It has proven to been invaluable when I had to replace a phone that quit working. Set up the new phone's Google Drive and there were my pictures. IT'S GREAT
Downgraded! After the most recent update, I no longer have the ability to specify a program to open a PDF. This is a real let down. Sometimes updates to the latest are not always the greatest! Please give me back that control.
Typical secretive Google, what's new in the update??? Google often releases app updates without stating what's new, or explaning their use of permissions. Google REFUSES to tell you what data and how they use YOUR DATA!!! Just a vague and blanket privacy policy across all apps and services that basically says that they can use your data any way they deem appropriate. Just note that YOU ARE BEING DATA MINED WITH NO DISCLOSURE OR ACCOUNTABILITY.
This is bull crap! Why cant you upload folders to drive from android tablet. This sux! Please fix this. Even using file explorer aps this cant be done. It 2016, lets get efficient google!
Great App but not supporting Samsung email client app I depend mainly on Google Drive in keeping my files. But the problem is that I'm using Samsung email client as my primary email client. And when I try to attach a file from the Samsung email client I don't find the Google Drive app as a choice for adding files from. By referring to Samsung the told me that it's a Google drive issue. BTW I can go to Google Drive and attach the file to the email on Samsung email client but it's not working the opposite way.
