There are number of different ways to get started with Drupal. Some will get hosting and install the codebase from drupal.org and others with download Drupal using Acquia Dev Desktop interface to get a local copy running, but my favorite way is to combine both techniques. In this tutorial we will be downloading the Drupal codebase with Git and serve it locally with Acquia Dev Desktop.
