We've just pushed Android Studio 2.1 Beta 2 to the beta channel.

This fixes a critical bug in the git support in beta 1 released yesterday. If you're using the git support in the IDE, please update.

Android Studio 2.1 now available on Beta channel

It's been less than a week since Android Studio 2.0 went into stable, but the team has been hard at work on version 2.1!

The main feature in Android Studio 2.1 is support for development using the Android N preview -- otherwise, the release is nearly identical to the 2.0 stable release from last week (along with a few extra bug fixes and some tweaks to Instant Run performance).

Android Studio 2.0 has been promoted to a stable release!

A big thanks to everyone in this community who has helped us testing this release in Canary and Beta for months. We’re really excited that it’s now ready for use by all Android developers.

As you can see, we've also created a new Android Studio page on Google+, which we'll be using alongside this community to post official announcements, tips and tricks, and other good stuff.

+Svetlozar Kostadinov I am not sure, but if you open an issue with the exact error and background details I can make sure it goes through our Bug triage. https://sites.google.com/a/android.com/tools/filing-bugs I don't know if we call it out, but knowing your Linux distro / version will be also important when we look into Linux issues. We work hard to support all distros, but our key focus is on Ubuntu.

It normally saying Gradle project sync failed. basic functionality( e.g editing, debugging) will not work properly. Please, What can I do? I am new to Android studio.

There's the survey on developer.android.com asking me about what I think of +Android Studio  docs.

The thing is I cannot complete this survey because I cannot actually remember ever using the AS docs. IDEA was already familiar to me, and I was discovering AS specific features by learning Android with Udacity courses, watching conf talks, and reading pro-tip articles posted in Android Developers community. In fact, I think I got the majority of information on overall Android development from the community.

Count this as my answer to the survey :)
