With pre-meal snacks, Thanksgiving dinner, and dessert, the average American will easily consume about 4,500 calories. Might we suggest taking a nice walk with a friend and/or loved?

I’m grateful to THE CLINTON AFFAIR for putting her story in perspecive, along with those of Kathleen Willey and Juanita Broaddrick. And to SLOW BURN for meticulously documenting just how stories like theirs became politicized.

The way Jones was treated in the 1990s was shameful. She was used as a right-wing pawn and a left-wing punching bag. She was openly attacked based on her gender and class. Her story had now been so politicized for so long that it can feel impossible to sort it out.

Every Trans Day of Remembrance I think of the people I know who’ve died Bc they were trans, including by suicide and addiction. It is unconscionable that, for all the money made off our stories, we have A DAY to remind ppl to care abt our deaths. And, by and large, ppl don’t.

Today is , a day to honor the memories and lives of those we have lost to anti-trans violence. It is a day to mourn, reflect, & bring visibility to the realities trans people face, but it’s also a day to honor the brilliance and power of our community.

In 2014 an Ohio judge punched his then-wife 20 times and slammed her head against the dashboard of his car five times, breaking her orbital bone in front of their children. He served only 9 months and was subsequently hired by the Mayor of Cleveland. Yesterday he killed her.
