Update (Monday, November 14, 2016)
Information
We had a client hold on our domain. Our host simply forgot to renew the domain (it's complicated). We are doing our best to get things fixed. The issue has been resolved - some DNS hiccups may occur.
Update (Wednesday, October 5, 2016)
Information
BIG launch day. We’ve been working hard this year on a new calendar service, CalendarX.com.
CalendarX is a calendar your audience can follow. When a user follows your CalendarX calendar, you can push your important events to their personal calendar. When you make updates, your audience calendar is automatically updated.
CalendarX is an awesome communications tool and can be used for lots of different purposes.
Schools and institutions
Working at a school or institution? Provide students and parents access to class schedules, parent meetings etc.
Sports
Add schedules and big game days to the calendar and let the team and fans follow the calendar.
Companies:
Promote your events internally to your employees or let fans of your company follow your calendar. Great if you do after-hours events to promote your company.
Online shops and retail:
Remind your audience to come back to your store for more. Promote special deals and make special events.
Update (Friday, September 2, 2016)
Fixed
One thing that has been bugging us for quite some time now is that it's difficult (and sometimes impossible) to add an event from popular media channels like Facebook and Twitter.
The problem: Apps like Facebook and Facebook Messenger are run in web-views that are stripped from default browser functionality. That means invoking the default behavior of a .ics file is impossible. For instance, the Facebook Messenger app just displays the content of the .ics file. That is just silly and unusable to all users.
By changing our approach in these sort of applications, we have finally solved the issue.
We have updated the functionality of the "Add to Calendar" button version 1.6.1. That also effects the events landing pages.
