In July, Ultimate Fighting Championship sold itself for $4 billion to a group of investors led by mega talent agency WME-IMG. At the time of the sale, WME-IMG said it would have no role in actually running the UFC.
ESPN’s latest experiment is with drone racing. When ESPN first televised drone racing last August from the Drone Sports Association (DSA), it was only streaming on its digital platforms, ESPN3 and WatchESPN. Now ESPN has moved drone racing to traditional television, on ESPN2.
Golf legend Arnold Palmer died on Sunday at 87, and as every remembrance notes, Palmer was known as “The King” of the sport. “Arnold embodied the hard-working strength of America,” said Nicklaus in a statement. Palmer was also the “king” of business ventures off the course.
