Rift Core 2.0 and Google Earth (wish we could script apps and core - google earth experience would be even more amazing) by roocell in oculus

Sorry I didn't clarify. I'm using Google Earth VR but putting dash windows playing information about the area of interest.

Verona_dude use of dash with GEVR sounds much more interesting :)

Thanks. I must be experiencing a bug. 3 screens appear but not the sliding bar at the bottom.

Yes. And that brings up 2 windows. My info and recent games on the left. Some App Store promotional thing in the middle. And my friends list on the right.

When I started it for the first time the tracking went nuts I think I saw it for a second and I also saw my desktop in a window. Then it all disappeared. :( Guess I have to reinstall. Need to check if I have enough DL on my internet bill. I just downloaded like 40 games from the previous reinstall.

Finally got it working Had to uninstall and reinstall. Might have had something to do with the fact that my download and software folders were linked folders to my d drive.

Is there a trick to bring up the bottom bar (dash?) when in the new home? I’m missing the bottom bar completely.

Rift core 2.0 (v1.21) download stuck as queued by roocell in oculus

[–]roocell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried that overnight as well. But I did get it running by uninstalling and reinstalling.

I had originally used linked folders in order to get the apps to install on D (day 1 buyer). That may have had something to do with the problem. (Had download and software directories linked). Even though it’s completely reinstalled - it somehow had remembered my login info and app update history. But all my apps are ‘not installed’. So I’ll have download again a fixed any saved games.

Kind of glad I did this anyway because I was running with a botched installation which possibly could have broke at any update.

It's really starting to happen! Robo Recall just added Dash support :D by ThatOneVRGuyFromAuz in oculus

It was my understanding that it was an overlay and apps didn’t need to do anything to add dash support. What did I miss?

Month away from Echo Arena...new update? by BackToTheStates in oculus

[–]roocell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just tried it last night. Definitely like the the fact that the losers get the disc in their end. It was quite frustrating if the other team had their launch down because the would start with an advantage almost every launch.

Still trying to figure out what the best strategy in this situation is. If you're defending I think its better to sit back and play D. Maybe send one guy out to force a throw. If you're on offense in this situation I found that sending one guy deep (like a regular launch) and attempt a long clear works best. Kind of like going way offside and then icing it in hockey.

Are you sure that room is big enough? I just patched my wall up from all the scratches and dents. I think you should move into the living room instead. It's a simple argument if you consider the damage. :)

Desk scene in DK2. Essentially first time in. I think this would probably be the case for most people. The effect if being able to look around things and feel like they're real just blew my mind.

Probably easiest just to get a refund and then rebuy on your account.

I've had no problem with the oculus cable but my HDMI extension cable seems to give me problems now (it worked great for a year)

I have this EXACT problem. Extension cables worked for about a year. Now I get blackouts. Short cables suck!
