Brian Gentile has been building and leading technology companies for 30 years. His career spans leading global companies such as NCR Corporation, Apple, and Sun Microsystems (now Oracle), mid-sized software companies such as Brio Software, Informatica Corporation and TIBCO Software, and start-ups such as Jaspersoft. Most formerly, Mr. Gentile was the Senior Vice President and General Manager of the TIBCO Analytics product group of TIBCO Software, where he used his nearly 15 years of Analytics and Business Intelligence software experience to build and implement a more modern strategy for TIBCO's multi-product analytics portfolio. Gentile has earned a BSBA Degree in Marketing from the University of Arizona, an MBA from Arizona State University, and now serves on several private software company Boards while consulting with CEOs and senior executives on matters of strategy, leadership and Marketing.

Comprehensive Internet experience from 21 years of entrepreneurship, advising and investing in Internet companies. Private investments prior to co-founding eEquity are Viewserve that was sold to Hexagon and Newsdesk that was sold to NHST (Norwegian Media Group). Advised on new issues of a value in excess of SEK 4 billion, 25 tax loss transactions and M&A deals with a deal value in excess of SEK 2 billion. Previous tasks at HSBC Investment Bank Ltd, FIBA Nordic Securities Ltd, London and Cheuvreux de Virieu Nordic AB.

Patrik Hedelin is the co-founder of eEquity along with Magnus Wiberg; co-founder of Pricerunner. eEquity manages around SEK 1 billion in three funds with currently 10 portfolio companies building up market leading internet retailing companies mainly in the Nordic region but throughout the rest of Europe as well. The focus is to actively assist entrepreneurs in developing companies from 50 – 200 million SEK to above 1 billion SEK in sales achieving broad profitability by best in class practices resulting in over 50 % Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR), in addition to purchasing distressed assets. The business strategy has been frameworked to benefit from the digital transformation of retail where Omni channel is increasing in importance and where volumes have been shifted from offline to online in combination with physical chains closing stores and pure online retailers opening new stores. Furthermore, eEquity's success has been possible due to its focus on simplicity, scalability and agile development of a decentralized IT infrastructure.

Heli Ahlroos (MSc Tech, MBA) is a team leader of VC team. She is responsible for investments in growth companies. Heli has worked in FII since 2008. Prior to that Heli worked as a Technology Director at Tekes (the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation) and as a Development Manager at Sonera Oyj.

As a Founder and CEO, Joonas Lehtinen has been leading Vaadin from zero to an international technology company that it is today. While he has worked in all aspects of the business, he is most known for being a web technology expert and a frequent speaker in developer conferences around the world. He holds a PhD in computer science from University of Turku and is based in the hearth of Silicon Valley in San Jose, California.

Before Vaadin, Joonas was CTO of Atuline (now CGI) - a healthcare tech startup where his team implemented the first electronic recipe and the first secure international doctor-patient consultation system in Europe. Behore that Joonas worked as researcher at Turku Centre for Computer Science, where he developed a suite of image compression algorithms for use in medical imaging.

• Performed both financial and commercial due diligences, as well as pure strategic projects.

Founder and COO at Vaadin, working towards making Vaadin the most used technology for building web apps for business. In addition to working with wide range of business, leadership and technology related topics at Vaadin, Jurka Rahikkala is finalizing his PhD thesis about top management's role in software cost estimation at the University of Turku.
