    All my Android P links from last year are trashed. Someone at Google knows this is bad because they went and updated some (not all!) of the Google blog post links from last year. What a bunch of unnecessary work. Just pick a link and never change it.

    Hey Android Googlers: Your Android Q documentation URLs are really bad. Everything lives at "" and you're going to change that like, next month when you pick a Q name, and that will break all my links. Use permalinks. Please?

    Has anyone else out there gotten this API lockdown email? If so what apps? So far I know about Swiftkey and SMS Backup+.

    I've received below email from Google. I still use the feature of learning from my gmail account using swiftkey board.

    Correct - poorly worded. this was meant to refer to future tablets only not a comment on other products. We are committed to our many other hardware categories. Writing too quickly - my bad!

    Hey, it's true...Google's HARDWARE team will be solely focused on building laptops moving forward, but make no mistake, Android & Chrome OS teams are 100% committed for the long-run on working with our partners on tablets for all segments of the market (consumer, enterprise, edu)

    I feel insane even having to argue for a cloud-based identity system. Absolutely not interested in anything based on a phone number or QR code.

    Significantly worse than a Google chat service, actually, since there are no desktop apps and identity is locked into your smartphone via a QR code.

    I don't understand. Wasn't the whole point of RCS that the carriers were doing it, which would mean wide, automatic adoption by everyone? Now you'll have Google RCS in addition to carrier SMS? How is this different than yet another Google chat service?
