The TPP needed to be fixed, not scrapped. Sad to see liberals cheering its demise. 100s of millions of people would be better off with it.

Liberals could ally with conservatives, and they'd definitely beat Trump, but that would mean delaying their desired social change.

Conservatives are still stronger, overall, in America than Trump and his reactionaries. But they're now allying with Trump.

Even as liberals lambasted conservatives for decades, they became utterly dependent on conservatives for their physical security.

In other words, the only thing protecting liberals from Trump and Trumpism is the decency, patriotism, and responsibility of conservatives.

Think about this: The military is mostly conservatives. The government is controlled by conservatives. Most gun owners are conservatives.

If you think you're going to overturn the social order, it's often a good idea to stop and wonder whether the social order has all the guns.
