My mom thought it was cute to tell me that my stuffed animals came alive and had parties when I wasn't there. They were immediately BANISHED because that is fucked up.

My parents had a dog sized brown paper mache (?) Figurine of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza that freaked me out so much with its little soul less eye holes that I couldnt even look at it from the other room.

I thought being grounded meant you were buried alive. When I heard the neighbors kid was “grounded” I cried hysterically and no one understood why. I thought the neighbor was digging the hole to burry their kid as I was told the news. I had a huge meltdown.

There were lots of Klansmen in the military and it had nothing to do with the slaughtering of Jews, it was to help conquer Socialism...because even back then they thought, wrongly, that Nazis were Socialists.

1) someone was going to throw a grenade through my bedroom window 2) a disembodied hand lived in the plumbing, but could also crawl around on the floor (under my bed). If I didn't keep watching while I sat on the toilet it would come through the drain and grab my balls.

This started as an irrational fear until I stopped one day at the top of an escalator, but my dad went down. He realized I wasn't with him and ran back up, fell, and skinned both his knees.
