What format do the courses take?

The courses are arranged in modules which contain lessons. Each lesson consists of content in text format with code examples where appropriate. The majority of lessons have a video to go with them, and also links to starting points on CodePen that you can use to follow along.

Will there be updates to the material?

I would very much expect so. This online version of the course is linked to the in-person workshops I teach around the world. I very much expect each to inform the other. As I see how people use the material I want to make it better. Also, in particular where the Advanced material is concerned, CSS is changing all the time so I will be keen to keep updating the material to reflect that.

Will updates be free?

Absolutely. Once you have bought the course any updates I make will be to material you can log in and access. I will also email to let everyone know of any substantial update.

Do you offer support?

I can offer support with your account, making purchases and so on. For general help with the materials you will have access to our Slack Community where I’ll be happy to help answer questions about the course materials or other CSS questions.

What isn’t included is debugging unrelated CSS for you, but my hope is that we can build a community in Slack of people who are learning and improving their CSS Layout skills and that between us we can help point everyone in the right direction with questions. As part of the course I cover things like debugging techniques and creating reduced test cases when asking for help.

Can I see examples?

I have made lessons on CSS Selectors and Length Units available for free. These follow a similar format to the lessons on Layout with examples and video. Take a look at the CSS Basics material here.

Can I buy a license for my team or the class I am teaching?

Yes. Contact me and let me know the size of your team and whether you are a company or an educational institution and we can work something out.

Is there a refund policy?

If you are unhappy then email [email protected] within 7 days or purchase and I will refund you.

Can you come to our office and teach this material to my team?

Yes! I do in-person workshops and training when and where I can. Get in touch and we can have a chat about my availability. On my speaking page I list upcoming presentations and open workshops.
