Hi everyone,
I'm sure this is a popular question on this subreddit but I am a little stressed out in my situation! I recently was published in a major magazine in the UK, and since then have been getting a lot of emails from people around the world asking if they can buy prints of my work. I am in my final year of university in England at art school so I do have a very good print resource available, but I can't seem to price my photographs very well. I am trying to update my website to have a store but I need to first be able to find appropriate pricing for prints. I was wondering whether it is worth adding extra cost on a print for using archivable paper? Should I limit the prints of a particular image to a number, 200 for example?
I understand that everyone prices differently, but I am still a student and a lot of the people interested in purchasing prints are family friends and former school teachers, I would want to be fair although it is my career. I would really appreciate some guidance on the matter. My university tutors are not particularly helpful. Cheers!
Has anyone ever bought a camera from Canada to US? Did you have to pay any import duties or additional taxes than the price listed on ebay? I’m looking at a camera which is around USD 1000 and am not sure if I should pull the trigger! Any advice is appreciated!
I have got a request to do photos of a 1st edition Book other Mormon for a private seller. I have never done product photos like this and am wondering if anyone can offer some tips on how to go about this. Suggestions on backdrops etc.
Handling the book is no issue as all safeguards are in place.
I'm shooting on a Sony A6000 right now. I have access to a variety of lenses. Sigma 16, Sony 35,50,18-105.
Hi.
I'm new to photography and to this community. I don't know if this is the correct place to do the question but, ok. I'll go. I start shooting with an Olympus Om1 and Yashica electro 35 GSN and I would like to copy/imitate the glare pollution (hue) that has the street lamps. How cant I get something similar?
Thanks!
I've played with the idea of getting a real camera for years, but I'm really starting to consider it more. I've been browsing this sub a bit, and decided I would definitely be better off going used, spend a bit on the camera, and then spend a bit more on lenses. I've also just recently been introduced to mirrorless cameras, so I'm entertaining that idea a bit too. Would it be realistic to spend around $300 on the body, and then $200 on lenses? I've been looking around mpb.com, but there's just so many cameras that I don't know where to start.
I need some help reddit. I’m wanting to buy a 35mm camera for a trip to LA. Decided the Olympus seems the best but which to buy as many varying models of the mju series. All help appreciated.
More specifically in Picsart app but I'm sure it also applies elsewhere.
So I'm Following a tutorial on how to get a smoke effect into my picture. All. Was well un till. He importes his photo of the smoke. In his camera roll it clearly had a white background. When he imports it, it has a transparent background. Any ideas how?

I travel fairly often and I’m looking at getting into photography so I can take somewhat-cool pictures of the places I’ve been, and have something to cherish when I’m a geezer. Buildings, nature landscapes and urban environments, things like that - maybe even the people I travel with. Maybe some adventure stuff.
What kind of gear do I need to get started? Cameras, gear bags, tripods, lenses, etc. What all do I need, and what specific items/brands do you guys recommend?
What are some solid books I should read so I can learn, or potential online classes I can take, things like that?
Just looking for whatever advice you guys can share, thanks a ton!
