From 1924 to 1935, The Eiffel Tower hosted gigantic illuminated advertising signs for the company Citroën, on three of its sides. Has anyone attempted to occupy this advertising space since then? Were any legal boundaries put in, in order to stop anyone from using the site as a gigantic billboard? (self.AskHistorians)
