Related not by blood, but by scanners. A family bonded by a game we call ingress. We are not bounded just by portals, control fields or shards. We are bounded by a journey. A journey full of exciting adventures, Amazing people and Unforgettable memories.
28th July 2018 was a remarkable day of that journey for every ingress agent in Maldives. A record number of agents were on the ground, battling for victory. But more importantly, making new memories, with the people we call family. On this day Maldives hosted their first Ingress Anomaly at the capital city, Malé. An opportunity many were looking forward to, for years.
Okay. That's enough tears for one day. Let's get going. Let's talk about the tremendous victory for Enlightened Maldives on our very first anomaly.
The anomaly was such a huge success, thanks to a lot of agents hard preparation work and the incredible organizing for the anomaly. From the day of announcement, till anomaly day, a lot of agents were involved in organizing and preparing for the anomaly. Recruitments were kick-started. Sleeping agents were woken up. Distant agents called up. Farms organized. Our website https://enl.mv was launched. Swags were pre-ordered and produced. Teams formed and trained accordingly.
The morning of 28th July 2018, all agents, with their teams started mobilizing to their designated areas within the anomaly zone. With operators guiding them through their every step, all teams carried out their assigned tasks efficiently.
During all 3 phases Enlightened dominated and won all the phases. The Resistance didn't just manage to lose every single phase, but they also lost most of the measurements with a huge difference. Our agents, strategy, and perfect coordination was too much for the smurfs to take on. Have a look at this..

Anyway, this anomaly was a huge success for the Maldivian enlightened community. Many memories created. Many new friendships made. Everyone enjoyed it. And this was the biggest ingress event that took place in Maldives.
The thank you list is long. But let me just summarize it. Firstly, on behalf of Ingress Maldives community, we would like to thank +Niantic for hosting an anomaly in Maldives. Secondly a huge shout-out to our operators team for doing an amazing job guiding us through from preparation till the very end. We would also like to thank all the Remote Rechargers at India, Sri Lanka and Malaysia. A very special thanks to the agents who took time to participate on ground operations. Hope you all had a great anomaly and a vacation. Thank you to everyone who were involved in preparation and organizing Anomaly Day and the Mission Day.

Here is the order for events:
12.30 pm: Register / Socialise,
12.45 pm: Group photo,
1:00 pm: The battle begins,
3:00 pm: The battle ends (make sure you meet back at the Starting Point for your score to be valid and included!),
3.00 pm: Post war check-in,
3:00 pm: Scores tallied up, come along for drinks and food at a venue to be confirmed..

"First Saturdays are part social, part competitive. Once a month, First Saturdays are a get together of the local Ingress family, new and old, to level up new recruits, make new friends, and strengthen Cross-Faction relations."
Join new and seasoned Enlightened and Resistance agents in this purely social cross-faction meet-up.
ALL Levels are encouraged to join this free agent-organised event. Currently competition relates to Levelling, AP Gained and km Walked (trekker).
Meet local agents face-to-face, learn how to play Ingress or teach a new agent the ins and outs of Ingress, and share Ingress stories.
Cross-Faction meet-up → Socialise a bit → Scorekeeper takes note of stats → Start time → Head out with the opposing faction smashing and capturing → Finish, scanners down → Score keeper takes notes of stats → Solicalise at Bar → Scores announced.
Although there are no boundary limits, make sure you have enough time to head back.

While our thoughts are often drawn to the dramatic battles of the XM war, the fate of humanity may depend as much on small acts of heroism in out-of-the-way places as on the clash of factions in the metropolis. A case in point is the small city of Ajka, Hungary, an ancient settlement in the hills of Bakony once inhabited by the Celts. Now an industrial town, Ajka is defended by a group of Resistance agents including corsaair, SuperNinja12, and JamesAndrew84, who maintain a lonely vigil over the area. Ever watchful for potential ENL attacks, corsaair and fellow agents patrol the region, aligning strategically significant portals to Resistance frequencies to allow for equipment to be synthesized and searching for signs of alien influence. While our intel does not suggest the presence of active ENL forces in the immediate vicinity of Ajka, our informants note aggressive fielding activity by the Enlightened near Bakonybél, less than 50k to the northeast. Our allies cannot therefore rest easy, always aware of the burden they carry as protectors of their local community. Though few know their names, corsaair, SuperNinja12, and JamesAndrew84 work quietly in the shadows to defend the innocent against the ever-present threat of Shaper mind control. We salute their sacrifices, and recognize the vital role they play in the broader fight for human self-determination. Agents, never underestimate your importance in our struggle! The future depends on each and every one of you!

Each day we hear information about yet more vital operations by our agents at the front. Our most recent informant reports detail events in Kaliningrad, a mid-sized Russian city located in an exclave on the shores of the Baltic Sea that has become a critical battleground in the conflict over exotic matter. Recent developments in the nearby area have been placing determined Resistance agents in a series of difficult battles to hold onto vital RES chokepoints, facing persistent attacks from ENL agents. Despite the risks, Tomskiy007 has orchestrated efforts by local Resistance agents to launch a new initiative to break Enlightened control over key portions of the city. Backed up by Shardtime and Myp3kid, Tomskiy007 has seized vital XM resources and has made it effectively impossible for enemy agents to cow the populous via mind-control fields. While Enlightened agents possibly under the direction of Andronych666 and tanukker have fought bitterly to stamp out the Resistance insurgency, our fighters have continued to press forward and are wreaking havoc on enemy operations. Reports are indicating that the work of area agents such as Tomskiy007, Shardtime and Myp3kid have left ENL in a weakened position, and ENL is facing a near-certain rout. Tomskiy007, Shardtime, and Myp3kid have persisted in facing a difficult foe with little hope of assistance and none of fame - their determination is a model for us all. We are relying on you, agents. You must carry on the fight for humanity!
