Dome Peak from White Rock Lakes, WA
I took this photo after a day exploring the South Cascade Glacier. Dome Peak, I climbed 2 years ago and I feel it is a climb worth repeating. It has some technical challenges and is also fairly remote. You just won't find many people on this peak. Flowers while on the move.

Is among the 20 most beautiful lakes in the world to 17th place. The park covers an area of 33,000 hectares and includes 16 lakes in succession, connected by waterfalls.Plitvice is the oldest national park in Southeast Europa.All'interno the park there are also many caves of which only a small part is agibile.I lakes are formed by two rivers: the White River and the Black River, which flow in the river Korana. The waters of these rivers are rich in calcareous salts (mostly calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate), from the dissolution of carbonate rocks forming the geological structure of sito.Questi salts are precipitated by vegetation, forming layers of travertine , a sedimentary rock recently. Over time, these deposits forming real natural dams that act as barriers to water, growing by about a centimeter per year. At one point the water pressure breaks these natural levees, opening new paths in the ground.

The South Cascade Glacier,WA.
I really enjoyed being here. It is way off the beaten path near the Ptarmigan Traverse, WA. I came down the full length of the glacier to check it out and went for a swim in a cold lake. The ice in the photo is hard as rock and polished ice. I did find an interesting rock river of sorts, that is continuous. It seems that a bunch of rock fall eventually comes to a single stream on the glacier.

South Cascade Lake
I went down to this lake to take in the views and swim. The entire lake only recently has come out of the Ice Age. Older photos show most of the lake was covered by the glacier. I was expecting not to find much life in the new mud, dirt, and rock, yet found many colorful flowers and small bushes. It may look like a waste land from this photo but up close it was gorgeous.
