I doubt that anything I “recycle” actually gets recycled at this point

I would leap at the opportunity to take HSR on this route! I-35 is not fun.

Of course it is Coit and Legacy. I swear someone almost hits me every time I drive through that intersection.

Apparently people from other countries call us Yankees, what do you guys think about that? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]us287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be confused if I hear someone call me a Yankee. I’d probably think they’re talking to someone else and just ignore them. I wouldn’t be offended though, I have nothing against Northerners, I’m just not one of them.

What’s the deal with Chipotle? by dkrugs23 in AskAnAmerican

Chipotle’s very popular in North Texas, but it coexists (not competes) with Mexican and Tex-Mex places.

Do most Americans know about Ontario? by itsover05 in AskAnAmerican

Most people I know would know what Ontario is, but I wouldn’t be surprised if you found a random Texan who is unaware

Negative 10 minutes in Texas. Everybody in my suburb WFH or took the day off that day because of the eclipse so rush hour didn’t exist.

They weren’t lying. The difference between 99 and 100%, is 100% by UnluckyWriting in solareclipse

we may have clouds, we may not. the forecasts suggest some areas will have some and others will have a lot more, but they keep changing

Arkansas is just a nice place to see in general, so it’s probably worth taking the trip up to mena (I’ve been there before, really beautiful area). I’m in Dallas too (live here) but I’m staying put.

Orange goes to the airport, and las Colinas (office buildings/shops and a lake) is on the Orange line by the airport, so I think you’ll get good viewing there. The cotton bowl has a dart line but you’d have to switch trains downtown.
