The Secretary of State for Exiting the EU apparently did not ‘realise until recently’ the importance of onward freedom of movement rights for UK citizens working in the EU. Don’t these citizens and their families deserve better treatment from their own Government?

David Davis' plans for joint EU and UK status for Northern Ireland is something out of Alice in Wonderland. Rather than bending over backwards to placate the unrealistic demands of the Conservative right-wing, Theresa May should change course.

Trump's trade war is self-defeating, petty, and most probably illegal. In the inevitable retaliation, there will end up being tariffs on a plethora of US products from jeans to Trump Tower merchandise. We know he's illogical and stubborn, but he claims to be a good businessman.

I was shocked to learn that Met Police officers are 4x more likely to use force against black people than white people. London's Mayor needs to ensure that the public knows what is being done to address this shocking discrepancy.

⚽ Clubs that have listened to fans and introduced safe standing should not be penalised if they get promoted. It is past time that there was recognition, particularly from Government, that the goalposts have moved on safe standing.

The OECD’s latest outlook for the UK shows economic growth virtually flat-lining as the US and EU forge ahead. Brexit-related uncertainties are dampening confidence in the UK's economic future. Nobody voted to be poorer, that is why the people must have the final

The UK was allocated 15% (€4bn) of all agreed funds under Horizon 2020. This funding was vital for research on some of the biggest issues of our time, including healthcare and climate change. It is clearer by the day that Brexit will not play out as the Leave campaign promised.
