Then christianity started in Syria then the romans adopted THAT as their religion.

Im getting asked why Syrians celebrate christmas like "westerners", when actualy Christmas started in #Syria not the west.
Before christianity christmas started a Syrian pagan holiday called Sol invicita.
Also, Christianity started in the levant.

Santa was anatolian, so he's more syrian than western, and snow falls here so i don't see why that would be an exclusively western thing. Syria has always had a winter solistace celebration that pre-dates christianity.
