(Harley’s troubles, as I said when they announced they were moving *more* production overseas, pre-date the tariffs. But that escalated their problems - hard to pass tariff costs to consumers when you estimate the costs in thousands of dollars vs a few pennies).

They didn’t « take on Trump. » They struggled for years - moving some production overseas well before the tariffs in order to reduce costs and compete with rivals. The tit-for-tariffs did not help.
