On the green screen in Westminster tonight. Considering getting them to switch it to a tropical beach scene. Or a nice sunset. Suggestions? 🏝

South Thanet MP has apologised to the House of Commons for failing to register his interest in an airline company he set up in 2001, intended to fly out of Manston. It's after a complaint against him was upheld. He said it had "never traded" & his share capital was 2p

It always cheers me up seeing & sitting next to each other so amicably. It’s a nice reminder that, no matter how divisive the Brexit debate can be, it doesn’t have to get personal.

They could have the whip removed (ie they’d have to sit as Independents not Conservatives, which is a big deal if you passionately believe in your party). Also, without a majority, there’s always the fear that it starts a domino effect that fatally weakens the govt

Worth pointing out that Conservative MPs were on a 3 line whip for the no confidence vote, which makes doing anything other than voting with govt a nuclear option. My sense is that many also want to give Chris Grayling a fair 'final chance' but that leeway won't last forever.

Tricky situation for some South East MPs this afternoon: ’s no confidence motion in Chris Grayling also calls for GTR to lose franchise. That’ll force some who’ve called for franchise to be stripped to vote against it, in order to back their colleague.
