Heather Love this!

––––•(-•The Insomniac Book Hoarder•- This list is made of awesomeness!!! ;-))

message 4: by Heloisa (new)

Heloisa Imada Awesome!

Tough Critic Book Reviews I can't believe Forbidden is #56. The boyfriend's her BROTHER!!!!! I'm pretty sure that disqualifies him! Sweet baby Jesus. I mean I liked the book; it was tragic and heart-breaking, but best boyfriend??? Come on people!!!

message 6: by Dj (new)

Dj What boyfriend in Clockwork Angel? There is no boyfriend in Clockwork Angel...unless you count Henry. Which you really shouldn't. I mean, maybe Magnus and Camille. But really? And Across the Universe and White Cat? There really was no relationships. Elder and Amy kiss once but they don't go out. Heck, they barely go out in teh second book. (But I did love the book, so I voted for it hehehe). White Cat...another awesome book but...again no real relationships. Dude wasn't dating anyone the entire book. He kissed his drunk ex-girlfriend and almost slept with his little cat friend. But...

message 7: by Chryssa (last edited Dec 27, 2012 09:29AM) (new)

Chryssa Respectfully to the voters, but...Harry Potter??? as boyfriend? the best friend ever yes, but...boyfriend???
come on now...!!!

Excellent list (apart from the HP books!)!!!

message 8: by Sally (last edited Jan 22, 2013 08:21AM) (new)

Sally Brown So many tis hard to choose wisely xx

message 9: by Eunice (new)

Eunice Sorry but I think it's pretty sick how an abusive guy tops this list. Like someone who deserves a Violence Restraining Order served against him should be no where near this list.

I didn't vote for him as thought the book was poor but he wasn't abusive as I remember just a messed up and childish... Yes but it is sad that is number 1agreed quite disturbing if that's what floats people boat.

Danielle (Bookwhoreblog) Perez Way to many awesome boyfriends. Hard to pick. :) I love this.

message 12: by Amy (new)

Amy I'm never going to see the end of this list, lol, I LOVE it, though!

message 13: by Yum (new)

message 14: by Beberton (new)

Beberton Saint Laurent Hahaha lahat halos ng book boyfriends nasa lists ko hahah travis maddox forever

message 15: by Mehjabin (new)

Mehjabin love the list !!

Akanksha❤ Søren♰ So many books are re-added and stuff! and its stupid having the second and third book of a series persent here, because the guy will still remain the same, unless a new MAIN character is added.

message 17: by Babaft (new)

Babaft Moore i want to add the books in this entire list without adding it individually. how?

message 18: by Nikki (new)

Nikki Pope <_< I'm sorry...but really, you guys need a reality check if you think this list is great because I see SEVERAL problems with it: 50 Shades - Abusive asshole (he is NOT a Dom and that is NOT how you do things in the S&M scene) Twilight - I really am sick of seeing people list this in ANYTHING TO DO WITH GOOD CHARACTERS AND ESPECIALLY GOOD RELATIONSHIPS! All these types of books do is reinforce the bullshit ideas that women should bow down and worship men, letting them do whatever and that a girl is nothing if a guy leaves her and what not...Edward is a stalker and a controlling, emotionally abusive DICK.... and Bella is just freaking STUPID, SPINELESS, AND BORING
....

And as has already been said...Harry Potter does not really count :P

message 19: by Carole (new)

Carole One of my very favorite books. Is "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" by
Betty Smith. A wonderful book ... one you will read over and over.

message 20: by Carole (new)

Carole Another great book for children is "The Little a Engine That Could"

message 21: by Eunice (new)

Eunice Nikki wrote: "<_< I'm sorry...but really, you guys need a reality check if you think this list is great because I see SEVERAL problems with it: 50 Shades - Abusive asshole (he is NOT a Dom and that is NOT how yo..."

Book No 1 (beautiful disaster) has an abusive relationship too. And it is totally glamorized.

message 22: by Tantalizing (new)

Tantalizing I believe Book No 3 has the most devoted boyfriend. Yes in the first book their relationship was completely out of line but in the second book when it was just Keira and Kellan, Kellan was completely devoted and loving towards Keira, even if she doubted he was but in the end the truth came out and she seen her was loyal to her.

message 23: by Mikaela (new)

Mikaela Lönnqvist Twilight and 50 shades of grey, are you kidding me? Abusive, controlling relationship anyone?

message 24: by C. (new)

C. Omg how can you choose it's sooo hard……

message 25: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Great list!!!

message 26: by Mike (new)

Mike Are you fucking kidding me? BEAUTIFUL DISASTER? FIFTY SHADES OF GREY? TWILIGHT? FALLEN? Dear lord, people! How the fuck can you vote for books with boyfriends that are near-abusive at best on a list like this? THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS!

message 27: by Charli ღ Denae (new)

Charli ღ Denae I'm thinking that a lot of people have voted for the books themselves, not the male character. I agree that a lot of the male leads in these stories do NOT make good boyfriends, book or otherwise. Great list of books, though!

message 28: by Mada (new)

Mada Love this list. The only one missing is Horse from Reaper's property :))).

message 29: by Mochaspresso (new)

Mochaspresso Travis Maddox topping the list is rather disturbing.

message 30: by Kelley (new)

Kelley King good list although i agree with the whole Harry Potter thing there wasnt really a Boyfriend type thing with those books so im not sure why hes on here but there are some good ones up there as well as some I would like to read.

message 31: by Kelley (new)

Kelley King chronicals of narnia??????um?

message 32: by Tierney (new)

Tierney Banco Four from "Divergent" deserves to be higher than #16. sure he was (SPOILER) brainwashed and almost (emphasis on almost) killed his girlfriend he didnt!!! Also Zach from "Gallagher Girls" is not in the top 100 and that is a crime

Prescylla Veronica I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THOUGHTLESS IS ON THE LIST. Okay if you're referring to Denny then YES he was a good boyfriend but if you're referring to Kellan, then I can't stand by this. INFEDELITY IS A NO NO. Break up then go bout your business.

message 34: by Tisha (new)

Tisha Mare I totally agree with you Prescylla. I'm for Denny. It kind of broke my heart when Keira broke up with such a good boyfriend

message 35: by Ginny (new)

Which book are you talking about? Author?

Hi everyone! My name is S Moose and I am an aspiring author working on my first book Reaching Out For You. Please help me spread the word about my book. Come meet Adam and Sophia on their journey to find love. Also LIKE me on Facebook to read more about my updates and my little teasers!

message 37: by Allison (new)

Allison Where's Noah Shaw?!?!?! :)

message 38: by Tierney (new)

Tierney Banco Savannah wrote: "I thought that Percy Jackson would be a fun boyfriend..."

well if u count Heroes of Olympus he is, even if he's separated from Annabeth for the 1st 2 books

message 39: by Faith (new)

Faith I will never understand why the majority of women on goodreads seem to worship abusive stalkers. And no , Christian isn't abusive because he is into BDSM , he is abusive because he is a controlling , overbearing , manipulative bastard.

message 40: by Pamela (new)

Pamela So I see that abusive assholes are the best boyfriends now
Is a sad sad sad world

message 41: by Marcheta (new)

Marcheta C The character in this book is hurt and broken. Is this world one then you would see her that way but because of a man he's an asshole. If you had read the entire series, you would have seen that he is healed through the relationship.

And this is a fantasy

message 42: by Zea (new)

Zea Okay, this is a good list, but WHY THE HELL is Travis on the top, followed by Christian Grey? If those agressive, controlling, domineering men are your idea of a perfect boyfriend, or are better than St. Clair from Anna and the French Kiss, or Augustus in TFIOS, then you CLEARLY need therapy. Do I even need to mention Edward? Just, why?

Zea Beberton wrote: "Hahaha lahat halos ng book boyfriends nasa lists ko hahah travis maddox forever"

Um, really? I read the book and it was a nice read, but Travis needs anger management as he is controlling and domineering and NOT a good boyfriend. How? What? Why? I cannot even. Just, NO. Please get a reality check.

message 45: by Karen (new)

Karen Lee Okay, Travis MAddox is the Number One book boyfriend because he does anything and everything for Abby. He strives to be good enough for her, when he knows that he isn't. He may have a temper but if he hurts anybody, he hurts himself the most by always self-destructing. He is in no way dominant in the relationship or demanding anything of Abby, she holds all the cards. Abby only hurts because she hates the way he self-destructs. His actions in the book are nothing but genuine love for Abby and he does anything he can to prove that love for her and that is what the girls find so appealing about Travis Maddox and he has a hot body and he kicks ass!!

Akanksha❤ Søren♰ Karen wrote: "Okay, Travis MAddox is the Number One book boyfriend because he does anything and everything for Abby. He strives to be good enough for her, when he knows that he isn't. He may have a temper but if..."

AMEN SISTER!!! You totally penned down my thoughts.
Its annoying how so many people are going on about him. He's nothing but the best~!

Zea Karen wrote: "Okay, Travis MAddox is the Number One book boyfriend because he does anything and everything for Abby. He strives to be good enough for her, when he knows that he isn't. He may have a temper but if..."

Okay, I admit I was wrong about him, and I am strong enough to admit it, but is it really healthy to have such an intense, rollercoaster relationship? I admit he does really sweet things for her, and she's oblivious in a way that pisses me off big time, but he threatens many people, does he not? Apart from his physical prowess, his temper ruins things for Abby and Travis does it not? He is a good boyfriend, but not the best.

Akanksha❤ Søren♰ Read Walking Disaster and then say Travis isn't the best.

message 49: by Zea (new)

I already did. I read Beautiful Disaster as well. And I remain resolute. To each her own, and that is my last word.
