“I missed you every hour. And you know what the worst part was? It caught me completely by surprise. I'd catch myself just walking around to find you, not for any reason, just out of habit, because I'd seen something that I wanted to tell you about or because I wanted to hear your voice. And then I'd realize that you weren't there anymore, and every time, every single time, it was like having the wind knocked out of me. I've risked my life for you. I've walked half the length of Ravka for you, and I'd do it again and again and again just to be with you, just to starve with you and freeze with you and hear you complain about hard cheese every day. So don't tell me why we don't belong together," he said fiercely.”

“Many boys will bring you flowers. But someday you'll meet a boy who will learn your favorite flower, your favorite song, your favorite sweet. And even if he is too poor to give you any of them, it won't matter because he will have taken the time to know you as no one else does. Only that boy earns your heart.”

Thank you so much, Leigh, for accepting my friend request! You are a truly wonderful writer and I can't wait for your next book :)
I was sitting and having a civil dinner with my boyfriend's family when my phone lit up and said that you accepted my friend request, and I literally squealed with happiness. All of the heads around the table quickly looked at me strangely, and I had to promptly explain to them that one of my all-time favourite authors accepted my friend request on Goodreads. Obviously, nobody at the table knew what Goodreads was, and most of them don't speak English that well, so they were a quite confused (priceless expressions really) but I was so happy that I didn't even care! I totally had the biggest grin smacked across my face haha! So anyways, the whole point of this was to say - thank you for accepting my friend request and for giving me a night to remember! :D You are just the best! Hope to see you again in London soon! :)
Thank you for accepting my friend request! I just want to tell you that I have never rooted for a villain more until I read The Grisha trilogy. The ending to the trilogy was poignant and utterly satisfying. Also, the character developments were amazing, particularly Alina's - she was a true inspiration. I have not read Six of Crows (even the title sounds cool) yet, but I will during my winter break, and I am completely excited! It has one of the most beautiful covers that I have ever seen. Thank you, and I'm forever going to read any new story that you release. :)
Wow. This is so cool. 'Leigh is a friend of Aelin.' *squirms and breaks into a huge grin*
Nikolai is just perfect.
I cannot wait for Six of Crows! :D Thanks so much for basing it in the world we have all fallen so crazily in love with! This ravine is so deep, but I don't want to climb out. Not yet. I could live in Ravka forever.
You're the best. :)

Thanks for accepting my friend request!Just finished Shadow and Bone and is One of the most imaginative fantasies that I've read in a while.I loved the world and the characters.Brilliant, new series by an amazing author. :)
Just finished Siege and Storm and it was absolutely brilliant! It was IMPOSSIBLE to put down! I can't wait to see what the Darkling has in store for us in the next book and it is KILLING me that I don't know what happened to Nikolai! Ugh fangirling feels! oh and i never did thank you for accepting my friend request! Especiallysince you accepted it the day before my birthday (june 16th) That was the best birthday gift I could have hoped for so thank you soo much!-Grisha series fan Jordan :D
"Leigh became your friend." Oh. My. Gosh. *fangirling and screaming*!! Thanks for accepting my friend request! I LOVE Shadow and Bone and am about to start Siege and Storm. I loved the book and everything in it! The characters, the setting, the plot, the story, the romance, THE DARKLING, the Grisha, the fold, everything! You have a gift for writing please keep writing ;) Thanks again! -Your-most-obsessed-with-Grisha-series-fan, Rachel :)
I kinda feel like a butt for saying this, but I'm.... rootingforMaltodie. Because Team Darkling and Team Nikolas. Alina deserves someone much better than the boy who neglects her, is jealous of all the attention she receives, and doesn't understand the sacrifices she has made to keep the relationship. I also think Alina needs someone who can match her power or someone who can teach her. I hope that didn't come off as rude! Just something I was thinking. I do love the books, but Mal is just UGH.
Hello Leigh! Thanks for visiting TO last Wednesday. It was great to finally meet you and the other fab ladies of fierce reads tour- you're nondescript fan :D

So glad you enjoyed it! The UK is switching to the US title (and I believe the cover) for the paperback release and the sequel (releasing in June) will share the title Siege and Storm with the US version. Hope that helps with the confusion ;) And thanks for the kind words <3

Not yet sure if I'll be at Comic Con this year, but I'll post as soon as I hear!

Cant wait to get my hands on Siege & Storm...by the way I have a question: I bought "the gathering dark" version. I would like to buy the uk paperback version of Siege & Storm... are they changing the name again, also for the sequel?;__; (I love the original titles the most ;_;)
