“When I was alive, I believed — as you do — that time was at least as real and solid as myself, and probably more so. I said 'one o'clock' as though I could see it, and 'Monday' as though I could find it on the map; and I let myself be hurried along from minute to minute, day to day, year to year, as though I were actually moving from one place to another. Like everyone else, I lived in a house bricked up with seconds and minutes, weekends and New Year's Days, and I never went outside until I died, because there was no other door. Now I know that I could have walked through the walls. (...) You can strike your own time, and start the count anywhere. When you understand that — then any time at all will be the right time for you.”

“Llonio said life was a net for luck; to Hevydd the Smith life was a forge; and to Dwyvach the Weaver-Woman a loom. They spoke truly, for it is all of these. But you,' Taran said, his eyes meeting the potter's, 'you have shown me life is one thing more. It is clay to be shaped, as raw clay on a potter's wheel.”
― Lloyd Alexander, Taran Wanderer

“Perhaps,' Taran said quietly, watching the moon-white riverbank slip past them, 'perhaps you have the truth of it. At first I felt as you did. Then I remember thinking of Eilonwy, only of her; and the bauble showed its light. Prince Rhun was ready to lay down his life; his thoughts were for our safety, not at all for his own. And because he offered the greatest sacrifice, the bauble glowed brightest for him. Can that be its secret? To think more for others than ourselves?'
That would seem to be one of its secrets, at least,' replied Fflewddur. 'Once you've discovered that, you've discovered a great secret indeed--with or without the bauble.”

“If you do follow your bliss you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. Follow your bliss and don't be afraid, and doors will open where you didn't know they were going to be.”

This makes me think of Aelin from how her character grew from books 1 as
Celaena Sardothien
to finally being herself in book 4 as
Aelin Ashryver Galathynius!
^_^ "Let the hard things in life break you. Let them effect you. Let them change you. Let these hard moments inform you. Let this pain be your teacher. The experiences of your life are trying to tell you something about yourself. Don't cop out on that. Don't run away and hide under your covers. Lean into it.
What is the lesson in this wind? What is this storm trying to tell you? What will you learn if you face it with courage? With full honesty and - lean into it."

CAN'T WAIT FOR BOOK 5!! :D Also book 2 of ACOTAR!!
Hi Sarah, I just wanted to tell u I'm ur #1 FAN! And I think Sophie turner could be a great feyre! So...just keep that in mind. Love u!!! Xoxo, candy(Ansly)
Hi Sarah! I love the Throne of Glass series, as well as ACOTAR (I cant wait for ACOMAF I NEED IT NOW!!), and I have a couple of questions how mating works. Will Aelin know instantly if she has mated or will it take time?
Also, can you have two mates, since Rowan's mate was already Lyria does that mean he cant have another mate?
One of your biggest fans that is 'paitently' waiting for TOG5 and ACOMAF,
Jayda
ACOTAR gave me a whole new meaning of a retelling story. You took it to a higher level where I can feel that ACOTAR is a retell of Beauty and The Beast, but it has something more.. more intensity, more raw feeling, more details that dazzled me and brought me to a whole new world. Like you had this raw and uncut gems then you make it to a beautiful, alluring, mesmerizing diamonds that trapped anyone's attention as they glimpsed them.
Sarah you are amazing, I love you and your books. Your writing is so beautiful i keep wanting for more and more. I promise you i will always read anything that you will write.
HiiOkay Just read ACOTAR.
Really good but what I need to say is.
Please don't wait over a year for the next.
It has to be out sooner then that!!!!
HI! OMG I'M TYPING IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE I JUST READ ACOTAR AND I JUST WANT TO SEND MY HUGS AND KISSES TO YOU FOR WRITING SUCH A GOOD BOOK! I LOVE YOU SOOOOO MUCH! AND THANK YOU FOR ACCEPTING MY FRIEND REQUEST!
Thank you so so much for writing! I have to say that you make the world a better place because of your words. I loved Court of Thorns and Roses and I also absolutely loved the Throne of Glass books, and I can't wait until Queen of Shadows comes out! As a fellow member of Pennsylvania, I am proud that we live in the same state!
I'm not sure if you can comprehend how much you can make happy someone on the other side of the world. If karma exists, You should get back so much luck and happines, only from me :)Write quickly, please. And looong!
Miss. Maas. I. Love. Youuuuu. Sorry... I just really needed to get that out. :) I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for writing such amazing books and for, more specifically, writing about Celaena. I feel like she is the exact character that I have waited my entire life for someone to write about. She has had such a huge impact on me and I just want to say thank you. I may or may not have developed a little bit of a girl crush on her! :) I can't flipping wait for Queen of Shadows and I am so excited to begin A Court of Thorns and Roses when ever I can get my hands on it.I hope you have an amazing day! Happy writing!!
Did you...did you really just friend me?! Or did someone hack your account and do that? That'd probably make more sense. S.J, I look back so fondly on your Fictionpress days where I first became obsessed with Queen of Glass. It was absolute torture when you took her down from the site, and we had to wait forever for Throne of Glass to be published!! Now I'm getting a huge sense of deja vu while I wait for Queen of Shadows, but that same flutter of butterfly wings has taken up camp in my stomach for your series (something that hasn't happened for me since Harry Potter.) Thank you for being so wonderful and providing me with hours of laughter, tears, happiness, heartbreak, righteous anger, and suspense during Aelin's journey.
Thanks so much for accepting my friend request!!! I love the Throne of Glass series so much and can't wait to read the rest of it!
Thank you for accepting my fried request. You read the kind of books I like to read [and you write those too :D], this way I can find new ones to enjoy. ^^GO TEAM CHAOL!!! \o/
Hi Sarah! Thanks for accepting my friend request :) I love, love, love your series and I can't wait to what you have in store for us next.
Hi Sarah, thank you so much for accepting my friend request! I finished reading Crown of Midnight the other day and I'm still in shock! It was so good, it had all I've always wanted from a book! All in one package! I can't wait to find Crown of Midnight in the bookstores of my country so I can buy the hardback! This book deserves a place in my library, the ebook isn't enough! ps: I love Chaol, he's definitely my favourite character!!
I loved 'Crown of Midnight' to the core.. It was so super amazing... Being a second book in the series it was better than the first one 'Throne of Glass' which was already AMAZING!! I am your fan now.. Your writing is crisp and I am so happy that I picked your books.. It so made my day. PS-- Read 'Crown of Midnight' as soon as it was out. I was waiting for it ever since I read Throne of Glass and the waiting was so worth it.
XOXO

Thanks for accepting my friend request. I just started reading Throne of Glass a few days ago and I really like it! I hope your considering putting your 4 novellas into book format and publishing them. I'm anti-ebook.
I really liked throne of glass. I read it a few weeks ago, and I'm thinking about reviewing it for the teen newletter at my library.
Dear Sarah,If I thought nothing could make me laugh, cry and smile more than Throne of Glass , your novellas made me think twice! Not only do I love Chaol and Dorian, but I now have a place in my fangirl heart for Sam too! Your writing is fantastic and I can't possibly wait until the second book in the series, when we continue our journey with Celaena...wherever her path takes her!!
Happy ready and best wishes,
Booknut:D
Kiorana Sarahthanks sooooo much for adding me. Please hurry in finishing the next book for Throne of Glass,:).Im desperate for it!!!!

Thank you so much for accepting my request. Your book "Throne of glass" absolutely blew me away. It is indeed one of the best YA fantasy books of 2012... and the cover.. Oh so pretty.I am eagerly waiting for the next installment to come out soon (I abso-freaking-lutely cannot wait). I know it be more amazing then this one.
All the best.

I've finished reading two of your novellas and wow! I'm so proud of you and all you've accomplished since fictionpress. I was one of your avid readers and I can't wait to read Throne of Glass to see how much it's progressed from the original. Can't wait to see more of your work! Best,

I wanted to ask you if you knew where I could find certified ToG and ACOTAR merchandise. I tried looking it up online, but there were so many different links that I couldn't tell which were trusted retailers and which weren't (either from independent sources or otherwise).
Thank you for your time!
Daphne.
