Does the fish in a fish sandwich count as "meat?"

What I think you're asking is, "What is more important to the sandwich, the bread or the sammich innards?"

Plato considered this same question shortly before his death in 347 BC. He was a big fan of lamb and tomato sandwiches. To his way of thinking: "A sandwich without innards is simply two slices of bread, and why would you eat two slices at once? Are you a glutton, or is there some imbalance in your soul?"

I side with Plato: one cannot individually consider the relative value of sandwich parts, because those parts alone are no longer parts of a sandwich. (less)

My partner and I are building a mini-empire where we get to create the things we want to create, and make a living doing it. What I care most about is that you read PANDEMIC and come out of it thinking, "I would have gladly paid twice as much for that and still got my money's worth."

My goal is to take you away and let you lose yourself in my creation. If I do that, I know I am making lives a little bit better, and that's the reward. I put everything I can into a book to make it as good as it can be — everything else will work itself out in the long run. (less)

Scott Sigler is on page 50 of 240 of Overcomplicated: Fascinating read so far. I can't help but thinking how close we are to technology being so advanced it's the same thing as magic. This book states that most of our highly advanced systems systems (planes, computers, software, etc.) are so complicated that there isn't a single person in the world who knows how all of the components work.

You're absolutely right. I have too many Goodreads friends to look at the country for each one, but I can make it clear in the invite it is US-only. Will fix in the description, and will put that in email invite from now on. My apologies.

Thanks :) I finally got my hands on a copy and am enjoying it immensely. I dont want it to end.

Dustin Hertel I'm a slow reader when it comes to actual hard copy print (A.D.D., no matter how good the book I can't read too long in a sitting) so I'm only a couple chapters in... but Pandemic is awesome so far!
