The Video and Commentary Series Call & Responsa engages leading North American rabbis in a public and interactive exchange with the iEngage Project video lecture series, "The Tribes of Israel: A Shared Homeland for a Divided People."
Each edition of Call & Responsa features a segment of video footage from the series - and occasionally, previously unaired interviews - that will set out the iEngage Project's view of the challenges created by Jewish and Israeli tribalism.
Paired with the video will be original commentary by leading rabbis on the issues raised. In keeping with the Hartman Institute's devotion to vigorous debate, we expect frequent disagreement or critique of the "Tribes" video.
The final part of the discussion is up to you - our friends, program participants, and extended community. We invite you to add your comments to the conversation. We intend to publish the most interesting responses by our audience in future editions. Please let us know what you think about Call & Responsa in general, and also send us your in-depth commentaries.
