You're possibly going to get more screening since they are going to think you're on something. So basically it would slow you down, the gate agent might also not let you on because of the mess and possibly thinking you're under the influence as well.

It probably depends... I suspect if they are a scam people would be hammering down on them since mayors don't like seeing people going back home and saying how the city is a scam.

What I suspect is that no one is getting tickets at $50, and they just go up from there to the point that it may be comparable to just buying it outright. Their supplies can be some existing discount programs, people reselling free tickets they get for things, etc.
