What are you expecting the gold price will do 2025? by InterestingJob2069 in Gold

[–]InterestingJob2069[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Europe is doing weirdly currently. So if EU people where to invest in gold that would be lovely. But in my country almost no one has gold. So not sure how common it is in western EU.

I know nothing about america but from what I did get it's because people are scarred of economic collapse there almost daily.

Same is starting to happen in EU.

So let's see

Need some advice for making minecraft videos? by InterestingJob2069 in NewTubers

[–]InterestingJob2069[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My idea for the channel is basically a survival series where the main goal would be to make a big ol' castle. With the terrain being fully terraformed and just looking nice. Maybe, with a village or a town aswell.

Eventually that series would end and a new one would begin. Or I would travel a few thousand blocks and start over in the same world.

But I feel like that would be nothing special honestly.

I have seen what you described happen very often where I live. Life gets pretty hard especially if they have younger kids. And it almost always ended in divorce. Same with people with their own business.

Have not thought about Iran but i'm not moslim honestly i'm orthodox christian so that would be though.

Wanneer vond jij je droombaan? by Competitive_Stock813 in werkzaken

[–]InterestingJob2069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Werk is werk.

Alright thanks!

My own country has only a higher education rate of 13%. Most of which are older than 45+ and leaving the workforce pretty soon. And most that start higher education don't ever finish it these days. So that is why I have been looking outwards.

I did not know that about Belarus. A lot of the people employed in the computer science department of my former uni where from Belarus. So that explains that!

Nice to know that female STEM degree holders can be found in the above mentioned countries. In my country everyone studies business and psychology. So I have almost never met a woman in STEM eventhough, the goverment tried to push it pretty hard.

For me the most important thing is that the woman is intelligent and truly loves me (and hopefully our kids in the future) and is able to provide if something were to happen like me losing my job or some other crisis.

And for that last part a degree is basically essential these days.

Thank you again!

Also after 57K euro's saved you get taxed heavily. Considering a home is now being sold for 483k on average even saving is not the thing to save you.

About the last 2 sections you wrote. I feel exactly the same. Following higher education and afterwards being in the upper middle class does not mean you are set for life anymore (in NL).

The only options that remain are saving up money for years upon years or starting a company.

And in NL they tax smaller companies so hard that a lot of people don't even try to start a business.

Sorry I wrote in English. Did not know how to reply properly in German.

In terms of time invested to what you get out of it.

I would say it's a no go.

[IWantOut] 20M Romania -> UK by [deleted] in IWantOut

[–]InterestingJob2069 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The UK and honestly EU as a whole are not doing so great. I would not get your hopes up.

If you want a beter chance try Ireland.

I'm from NL and working in a related field. Industry ain't doing so well in the EU and UK.

You have been told lies about free education and free citizenship. No country offers that. That's just lies or propaganda to get smart people to a country that does not want to educate it's own people.

NL is the same and there is a housing crisis here. Also NL is quite racist especially to eastern EU. So I would not try NL.

Germany is struggling and if Germanies industry leaves or goes bankrupt Western EU is screwed.

If you think you will get a beter life in UK or Scotland I'm sorry but you wont.

All the Romanians (and there were many) at my old uni went back to Romania because they thought western EU sucked more then their own country. Just sharing my experience good luck

Don't shorts get good views but that's it. If you have done long form stick to that.

You cannot get "fans" that come back for your videos or for your personality. And most shorts channels die even if it is original content. Plus if you are in it for the money you earn pennies compared to longform.

I distinctly remember there being so many people checking out tiny apartments in NY and those getting millions of views. But now all those channels are dead.

I have seen the same happen to those recycled science, sports or viral nonsense shorts creators. In the end they get maybe 2 weeks - 3 months of good views and then they die.

Only thing that manages to survive is comedy/skits on shorts or tiktok.

What you could do instead is every so often make a short (like once a week or bi weekly) and use those to redirect people to your long form vids. I have seen people do this mostly with their older vids.

Example include the youtubers:

Nerdforge

Jacksucksatlife

Keep in mind these are multi million subscriber channels

Check those out if you want to know what I mean with redirecting. For them it works. If the algorithm picks up their short it translate into on averge 10k new views on an old vid and some subscriber gain.

The genius in this is that the old longform gets a sudden influx of views. Meaning the yt longform algorithm get triggered and starts recommending that video again on peoples feed. Meaning new eyes on the channel as a whole.

In any other case short viewers don't translate well into longform. An art short form creator I used to watch tried to pivot his 1.5 million subs shorts and like 1 million tiktok audience to his long term.

Long story short 3 or 4 years of work making art on shorts and tiktok down the drain. Dead channel and forgotten forever.

So my aadvice is don't unless you use it to pivot people to your long form while being an established long form youtuber.
