Holistic practitioners have said that l-glutamine is supposed to help gut lining. I believe the research done backs this, however, there isnt much research to draw from I've found. Im happy to be proven wrong though!

This paper is really good. If they got similar results on a larger cohort, I think it would be easy for a healthy company to pick it up as an assay.
