Thanks, and I must have misplaced the style image in my unorganized mess of images.

Is that where you got the idea for the NIN Upres?

Also, I updated it with the information from this thread.

It was a somewhat recent video I think, that he mentioned it briefly.

In Canada underaged individuals can take nudes and other media as long as they only share it with themselves and their significant other (legal relationship age range between the two only). If they share it with a third party, it's only then considered child porn.

It would be a terrible shame if someone were to find and share the "Russian FTP" servers he talked about finding Apple's software tools on, with U.S. It would also be a shame if someone where to purchase a cheap laptop that's preloaded with all of Apple's tools and software, and then share the image with all of us.

So what your saying is, we need to find the sources of this information//software and share it via torrents along with his videos, before Apple finds the sources?

CNNMRF Content Weight Experiments by ProGamerGov in deepdream

I don't think it has more potential than neural-style. They both have different strengths and weaknesses.

I was under the impression that you can choose how much it will look like the original / how much it will apply the style

There are style weight and content weight parameters which I used.

All of the settings are listed on the Github page here: https://github.com/jcjohnson/neural-style

By "NIN Upres", are you referring to the idea of using NIN to increase the size of an image generated with a more resource intensive model, from here: https://github.com/jcjohnson/neural-style/wiki/Techniques-For-Increasing-Image-Quality-Without-Buying-a-Better-GPU ?

The Impact of Neural Networks, Computer-Generated Imagery. Are Professional Artists Going the way of the Dodo? by SkurdyCat in Art

[–]ProGamerGov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neural Networks for art, are tools.

There are incredibly accurate fluid simulations, which allow artists to paint via a touch screen device with a special pain brush. It looks just like real life. See the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aVSb-UbYWc

But just like neural networks, it requires skill to use. Photoshop and other digital art programs did not kill artists, they instead became another tool at their disposal. People who previously had artistic talent, but did not like the tools, can become great artists instead of letting that ability sit dormant. Neural networks like Neural-Style, raise the skills level above the traditional area, just like tools in programs like Photoshop have done in the past.

CNNMRF Content Weight Experiments by ProGamerGov in deepdream

I really like how CNNMRF manipulates the leaves and flowers very subtly in some cases without changing them a lot, into the shape of the face. It almost looks like a real world photo.

I have made images with this style, that have an extremely low content weight. People look at them, and think its a normal photo of a shrub. But when you hold it a certain angles, or have knowledge of the original content image, the face hidden in the shrub begins to take shape and they can then see it.

The style Image, content Image, and the non Waifu enhanced output, are included in the album.

Would you mind explain your process?

I made this set of images with Neural-Style.

First off I select a content image (the image I want to alter), and then I select one or more style images (where I get the artistic style from).

I then try all kinds of settings until I get roughly what I want. Then I fine tune the settings to achieve the best possible output. This process can be bit time consuming if you are having trouble getting good results. I normally do around 1500 iterations, and save the image every 50 iterations. Sometimes, I repeat these steps using different models (trained differently from the default model), in order to arrive at the best result. The Neural-Style wiki has user submitted details about how well each model works.

I then select what I believe to be the best outputs, and then use a program called "Waifu2x" to double the size and remove noise. Waifu2x would probably work really well on many of the art pieces people post in this subreddit.

Site that runs your image through Waifu2x (Has upload size limit): http://waifu2x.udp.jp/

Windows (Use Chrome's translate feature): http://inatsuka.com/extra/koroshell/

What is the iteration count?

Are you asking what the iteration count means? Or what iteration each image is?

Are you trying to apply different weights to the style and content reconstruction terms, and then you manually choose which one your prefer?

Not exactly sure what you mean here, can you elaborate?

How long does it take (rough estimate on which hardware)?

Running on an Amazon g2.2xlarge spot request which has 4GB of ram, each image took about 30 minutes to produce based on the timestamps I have on iteration 50 and iteration 1500, though this could be wrong. It's hard to remember when you are making a lot of images.

What about all the models individuals on this subreddit and other more obscure places? I know the anime model is not listed on that page.

Specifically I want models I can plug into implementations such as Neural-Style, CNNMRF, and possibly DeepDream. I have exhausted caffe model zoo already, and am in search of more models to experiment with.
