Citizenship for Military Members and Their Families

Members and veterans of the U.S. armed forces and their dependents may be eligible for citizenship under special provisions of law. For more information, see the Citizenship for Military Personnel and Family Members page.

Family Based Survivor Benefits (for Relatives)

If you are an immediate relative of a U.S. armed forces member who died from combat-related injuries while on active duty, you may be eligible for certain “survivor” immigration benefits, including citizenship. For more information, see the Family Based Survivor Benefits page.

Discretionary Options for Military Members, Enlistees and Their Families

Spouses, widow(er)s, parents, sons and daughters of certain U.S. armed forces members and veterans may be eligible for parole in place or deferred action. Foreign national enlistees and their family members may also be eligible for deferred action.
