    A biggie was people wanting to cycle but being told by colleagues, “it’s dangerous, don’t do it”, and people who use bikes being told they are “brave” - peer pressure seems to be quite some deterrent, one that I hadn’t considered before.

    The Team London Bridge velomobile! We had a great session collecting public comments about cycling. Infra is not the only solution... so is cycle training, bike parking, affordable bikes, more cycle hire...

    My correspondent is concerned that this type of design may lead to HGVs tipping over when cornering. , do you think this concern is valid and, if so, how would you adapt the design?

    Good morning Tweeps. I’m looking for photo examples (preferably UK) of busy footway crossovers used by HGVs (eg entrance to a depot) that are accessed by a steep ramp, leaving a flat footway/cycleway surface accessible for wheelchairs. This Dutch example is the sort of thing:

    So. Virgin/Stagecoach to bail out of East Coast franchise early. I don’t get it. When in national ownership the line was the only profitable enterprise on the network. Yet since privatisation it’s been re-nationalised twice. How come?

    How to convert an old car park to residential development in the coolest way possible. Cars become cycles instead and create lots of space, who knew?

    Coolest refurbishment of former car garage. Now apartments and the ramp that used to lead to the car parking is now parking. Leading you to your apartment front door.

    Completely support this campaign. Yes, why should the Highland of Scotland be treated like a distant branch-line outpost when it has so much potential? The trip is beautiful but not a business proposition, nor is it competitive with air or even road travel.
