    The Most Wellington of Problems today: Organised to get coffee at “Mojo on The Terrace”. I went to the one in PWC building, but turns out we were actually meeting in the *other* one on The Terrace.

    In his last year as Trade Minister, Todd McClay took 5 Opposition MPs overseas with him. This govt is taking two Ministers who opposed TPP to Chile, but haven’t invited the guy who resurrected it.

    I’ve written to Mayor Ray Wallace and proposed the Hutt Council establish the Mike Grigg Award for Social Inclusion as part of the Hutt Civic Honours Awards each year. V appropriate to honour Mike’s commitment in this way

    Great news from out today - in 2017, 2/3rds of Māori preschool children attended some form of early childhood education – about the same level as European children. In 2009 it was just 1/2. Reflects lots of work by govt to improve participation

    Meanwhile NZ Police still working towards old government BPS target of 10,000 fewer serious crimes by 2021 but not apparently the Ministry of Justice

    Interesting to hear that while the Ministry of Justice has been instructed to work on how we have fewer criminals in prison they have been given no targets to ensure that we actually have less crime
