    Disturbing: “It was his night off he had nothing in his official diary his office didn’t know he was there. So I don’t think this is as significant as being made out." - i.e. it's not the show he puts on for the public. It's what comes to him naturally.

    If we were talking about a militant atheist like Christopher Hitchens who devoted his life to spreading the atheist doctrine (writing books like "God Is Not Great"), then I would be perfectly fine with this meme. But Hawking was not of this ilk.
