    My square metre of 665(!) daisies and buttercups would support 44 honeybees for a day (as well as this bumblebee 😊)

    Just did our count for citizen science. Lots of dandelions without heads and we seemed to toss the ball into areas without flowers, so we had a low pollen count. We’re doing really well at not mowing the lawn this month, though! 🐝🦔

    Thanks so much for doing & we LOVE the improvised quadrat! The yellow one is Lesser Trefoil (Trifolium dubium) & I think the pink one is Cut-leaved Crane's-bill (Geranium dissectum). Pls include them in your results to help us refine the species list next year

    Done my garden quadrate (improvised the markers) for NoMowMay, but need some help with IDing the plant with the small yellow flowers, & confirmation that the small pink flower is small-flowered crane's bill, please

    I am pleased with this as we have mown the lawn during and the ground is parched. The only green parts of the garden are were the "weeds" are! We have plenty of plants, trees and other areas of native flora, but more can 🐝 done!

    Feeding 11 honey bees very cool! Thanks for taking part

    Completed Plantlife's national survey today counting wild flowers on a metre square of my lawn (mostly Lesser Trefoil!). Apparently there's enough nectar on my whole lawn to sustain 11 honey bees a day. How cool is that!😊

    Pleased to learn that our "lawn" will support 54 honey bees a day. Never had weed killer applied, not mowed this year and only a few times last year. Happy days! So much joy from so little effort. 🐝🐛🦋🐞

    just completed our count. Am pleased we are supporting some bees through the lawn as well as our border but could do a lot better. Will be making some changes, thanks for highlighting this. 🌼🐝🦋
