    Exactly. We don't have science without the *humans* who are scientists. "Human rights are science rights" will be my march sign.

    that's what I'm asking for. Scientists are people; what affects black people affects me. Being a scientist doesn't save me.

    Not a good idea to piss off the people who provide us with food, clean water, medications, weather predictions, sanitation technologies...

    OR!! We multi-task+address several issues at once. If we want to protect science, we have to protect the people working as scientists.

    "If not now, when?" I, too, feel swamped by all that's going on. But we can't just push aside issues because they're inconvenient.
