Kratom users endlessly squabble about whether or not kratom is an opioid. The solution isn't to concoct an imaginary pharmacology that neglects a stigmatized receptor, but to accept the simple fact that some opioids can be therapeutic under certain circumstances.

I'm annoyed that I have to say something so obvious, yet these statements never end. (Cannabis is not a drug, kratom is not a drug, peyote is not a drug, 5-MeO-DMT is not a drug). Are you suggesting you ingest these materials for no reason, that they have no impact on your mind?

I'm getting very tired of hearing people say their substance of choice is "not a drug." Instead of pretending the psychoactive plants or chemicals you enjoy aren't drugs, why not accept the far simpler truth that just because something's a drug doesn't mean it's bad?
