I just tried to read Bertolt Brecht’s poem “To Posterity,” written in exile in 1939, and almost couldn’t do it

You forgot to mention that Israel was explicitly founded to assimilate Jews as a collective into ‘a nation like any other nation’, and given the affinities between Israel and neo-fascist regimes worldwide, in one important and tragic sense it has succeeded

If you bring up Israeli war crimes every time you see a Jewish star, but don’t feel compelled to bring up the many many horrors perpetrated by Christian Churches throughout history whenever you see a cross, you might just be an anti Semite

This generation’s Jewish-diasporist turn is every bit as monumental and generative as the boomer’s (mostly) Ashkenazi-Zionist-ethnic turn. It’s so profoundly powerful to feel apart of it and to be inspired by so many comrades. We don’t need to prove our legitimacy.

Right-wing Israel supporters are terrified bc their morally bankrupt views are totally irrelevant to the progressive young Americans reshaping this country’s political landscape. Zioness is their last desperate attempt. Lol
