Bottom-Feeding liar at Raw Story writes fallacious hit piece on Bob Owens

Sarah K. Burris apparently has no ability to be objective, read, or use any facts, or maybe she is just a compulsive liar. Her smear job on Bearing Arms editor Bob Owens is so full of lies and half truths that posterity demands it be corrected. You can read what Gun Free Zone wrote about Burris’s lack of integrity here. It is good, but what the heck, I might as well set the record straight too.

In October 2015, Owens suggested that “radical” Democrats will be hanged because they intend to “start a civil war” against Republicans and those who own guns, according to Media Matters.

Damn Sarah, are you seriously citing Media Marxists? They are a left-wing site dedicated to smearing anyone in the media who is to the right of Lennin. The fact is Owens is correct to assert that the Left is actively seeking to disarm law-abiding Americans. He is also right to note that many Americans would simply not comply with such statist measures such as gun confiscation. Some people, Sarah, treasure their liberties. In fact, this is what Owens wrote

The radical left is getting much louder, much more shrill, and much more insistent in their desire to use force to get their way and impose their ideas on the American people.

If they try such a radical path it would end poorly and quickly.

The military and local law enforcement agencies in the United States that the radical left has been trashing in public since the Vietnam War until now will not take part in any plot to disarm American citizens.

Soldiers, Marines and sheriffs may even defect to actively resist any federal officers from a pool of just over 100,000 who would take on the suicidal task of taking on the military, local police, and a hundred righteously-angry million gun owners, led by over a thousand angry Green Berets that warned President Obama in 2013 not push his luck.

Who is left to carrying out these confiscatory fantasies but the radicals themselves?

Are Cornell University Art Professor Carl Ostendarp or Coppin State writing instructor D. Watkins going to going on raiding parties? Are comedian Amy Schumer and her Senator-cousin Chuck going to kick in doors? Somehow, I don’t see President Mom Jeans picking up a breaching ram and leading by example.

I’m glad that these totalitarians are finally showing their true colors to their fellow Americans, as it will assure a crushing defeat of their anti-American ideals at the ballot box. Perhaps then sane Democrats like Jim Webb can pick up the remains of the Democrat Party and either return it to something President Kennedy would have respected, or start something new.

Of course, we’ve got to get the elections, and these radicals are pushing hard for action, now, and they’re proving with every passing day that reason and constitutionality are the least of their concerns.

We do not want a civil war against the radical left wing of the Democrat Party, but let it be made abundantly clear that if they start one, they will be utterly destroyed by armed free citizens, as the Founders intended.

Owens is not advocating for anything nor is he predicting that such events would happen. As he points out, law enforcement will not carry out such draconian acts, nor will our military

If that isn’t bad enough, Owens is most known for targeting the families of slain African-American youths Trayvon Martin, Jordan Davis and Tamir Rice.

Just a few months after Martin was shot by George Zimmerman, Owens called him “a violent, drug-abusing thug who appeared to get off on hurting people” and “a semi-literate violent criminal.” He also slammed the upcoming musical about Martin’s life, saying that it would be “whitewashing a black heart” and which he called an attempt to “whitewash a thug’s death.”

Sarah, what Owens did, and what many others did, myself included, was to share facts about Trayvon Martin, and the case. Martin was a thug who tried to kill someone and paid the proper price for such an action. Of course, the very idea of self-defense seems to give poor Sarah the vapors

Owens declared a year later, “good people … will arm themselves against violent young predators like Trayvon Martin” because “any society that hopes to survive simply has no choice.”

Well Sarah, the choice to defend one’s life, or the lives of their loved ones is human nature frankly. The fact is hundreds of thousands of times every year, Americans use firearms to defend themselves. Owens cites many of these cases at Bearing Arms, as do I at The DaleyGator That is what good people do Sarah. Think for a moment where our society would be if those Americans were not armed? Come on Sarah, stop emoting and think. The right to self-defense is the most basic human right there is. Finally, Sarah, allow me to enlighten you about Bob Owens and his “attack” as you crudely put it on Lucy McBath. Here is what Owens wrote about McBath’s campaign against stand your ground laws and about the needless and tragic death of her son

I feel a great deal of sympathy for Lucy McBath. Her son, Jordan Davis, was murdered by an arrogant and violence-prone thug named Michael Dunn. Dunn is a Florida man who shot into a carload of teens in an argument that erupted over loud music from a car stereo. Dunn will spend the rest of his life in prison for Jordan’s murder and the attempted murders of Jordan’s friends, as he clearly should.

People react differently to tragedy. Some use these life-shattering experiences to redirect their energies to do great good. Unfortunately, Lucy McBath chose a different path. She has become radicalized, and now travels the nation attempting to strip law-abiding citizens of their most basic natural right as a human being, the right bear arms for self defense.

Her decision has led her down a very dark road, and has her associating with some very bad people. As one of the leading faces of the infamous gun control group Moms Demand Action, McBath has become a serial liar, and sadly seems to be more comfortable with her lies as time goes on. If you’re not familiar with this fringe group, you aren’t missing much. Moms Demand Action has repeatedly be hammered for gross dishonesty, committing apparent perjury, deliberately and grossly manipulating data about the number of school shootings, and dramatically inflating their actual numbers along the way to be being ingloriously named the worst astroturfers in the nation.

McBath has spent the majority of her time with Moms Demand Action relentlessly attacked so-called Stand Your Ground laws in specific. McBath asserting time and again that the laws allow citizens to gun down one another with impunity.

Owens, as I, feel tremendous sympathy for this woman’s loss. Michael Dunn deserves his punishment, as Owens points out. But, understand that McBath is using her tragedy to try and destroy basic human rights. She is lying in an attempt to erode the liberties of others. Her campaign, if successful, would not  prevent future tragedies but ensure more. Again, I feel for her loss, but I will not allow her, or anyone else to lie or to strip my right to defend myself and my loved ones away. Should we all give up rights every time a tragedy occurs? Of course not.

College reverses course, will not fire ex Army general over “anti-LGBT” comments

Is it not amazing how a bit of outrage can push back the Speech Police?

An all-male college in Virginia has reversed its decision to fire a prominent retired U.S. Army general hours after reports that he was removed over political correctness provoked outcry.

Hampden-Sydney College decided to offer Lt. Gen. William “Jerry” Boykin a one-year contract, walking back its decision to fire Boykin after he made controversial comments about transgender bathrooms that angered LGBT activists.

Fox News first reported Thursday that Boykin, an original member of the Delta Force who served as undersecretary of defense for intelligence under President George W. Bush, had been fired after nine years of teaching at the school after criticizing transgender bathrooms.

“The first man who goes into the restroom with my daughter will not have to worry about surgery,” Boykin said of the debate surrounding transgender bathroom rules during a speech to conservatives in March.

Once again, Liberalism is an Ideology of Convenience

Noted actor flies 8,000 miles on a private jet, to accept environmental award.

Hollywood’s resident global warming doom merchant is also its foremost fossil fuel-burning hypocrite.

DiCaprio attended the Cannes Film Festival Monday and was seen partying with model Georgia Fowler. Two days later, The Revenant star was in New York, where he received the Fishermen’s Ball’s “Big Fish” award for his commitment to clean water. A day later, DiCaprio was back in France giving a speech at amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS gala.

One week, two continents, and 8,000 carbon emission-powered miles later, Leonardo DiCaprio was already back to his hashtag activism and fighting climate change on social media.

All this from the man who says that “a massive change is required right now, one that leads to a new collective consciousness, a new collective evolution of the human race, inspired and enabled by a sense of urgency.”

Leo is a good actor, and a massive hypocrite. But most of all he is an elitist who preaches one thing to the little people while engaging in behavior he himself says will kill us all. How convenient! How very Liberal!

Watchers Council Results

The Council has spoken, the votes have been cast, and the results are in for this week’s Watcher’s Council match up.

“Boys will be boys and girls will be men/It’s a mixed up hung up shook up world…” – Ray Davies’ lyrics to The Kinks ‘Lola’

“They can’t do that. It’s the one thing they can’t do. They can make you say anything – anything – but they can’t make you believe it.

They can’t get inside you.” – Julia, to Winston Smith in George Orwell’s ‘1984’

“Liberty means refusing to allow some men to use the state to compel other men to serve their interests or opinion.” – Auberon Herbert

This week’s winning essay,Bookworm Room’s Sex and State Power — What’s Behind Obama’s Transgender Push is pretty much exactly what it sounds like – Bookworm’s exploration of exactly what’s behind President Obama’s threatening new diktat to America’s schools and other public facilities to normalize the use of women’s bathrooms and locker rooms by transgender males whom claim they feel ‘female’ – or else. Here’s a slice:

The Obama administration has announced that from this day forward, all public schools in America must let children choose their bathroom and locker roombased upon a child’s feelings about his or her gender on any given day. This means that, if a male sexual predator (or simply a sexually curious boy) feels that today is a good day to be a girl and watch the girls’ volleyball team strip off in the bathroom, that is his right and the school is obligated to comply:

The guidance from leaders at the departments of Education and Justice says public schools are obligated to treat transgender students in a way that matches their gender identity, even if their education records or identity documents indicate a different sex.

“There is no room in our schools for discrimination of any kind, including discrimination against transgender students on the basis of their sex,” Attorney General Loretta Lynch said in a statement accompanying the directive, which is being sent to school districts Friday.

Because Congress has already allotted funds to the Department of Education, the DOE wields the power of the purse over this issue, and there’s nothing Congress can do to stop it.

If asked why they are forcing this policy onto American public schools, administration figures, from the president on down, would reply that they’re doing it “for the good of the children.” It’s all about self-actualization, and self-realization, and personal empowerment, right?

Wrong! This comes from the Left, so there’s good reason to believe that it’s not “for the children” at all. Indeed, there’s extremely good reason to believe that the transgender movement is very bad for those who identify as transgender, starting with the children and working up to the disproportionate number of transgender adults who commit suicide. David French has a good breakdown ofthe heartbreaking numbers behind the suddenly trendy tranny movement:

The evidence of transgender despair is overwhelming. A Swedish study found that trans people were 19 times more likely to die from suicide. An American study found that a horrifying 41 percent of transgender and “gender non-conforming” people had attempted suicide, compared with a national rate of 1.6 percent. In Canada, a study found that each year one in nine transgender people try to commit suicide, compared with the national rate of one out of 167.

So it’s not “for the children.” Lie Number One is exposed.

Lie Number Two is the contention that the transgender movement is the same as the gay rights movement. In fact, the transgender movement also weirdly homophobic, even though the LGBT movement has embraced it . The weirdly homophobic aspect comes from the fact that the transgender movement puts the lie to what gay rights activists have been telling us for a good decade or more, which is that when it comes to gay, “Baby, I was born this way.” Again, David French neatly defines the conundrum:

For the last decade, the American public has been told that sexual orientation is a fixed, immutable characteristic — like skin color. Now we’re told that “gender identity” is much the same. Psychology is fixed. Biology has to adjust.

But observe the lamentation in the video: A transgender boy wants other boys to change, to reject the “born this way” of their own sexuality for the open-mindedness of “getting physical” with a girl with a penis. Claire is desperate for their psychology to change, for their minds to open, and for their sexual identity to change in response to Claire’s allegedly unchangeable desires.

Writing in the Gospel Coalition, Trevin Wax asks: “When a person feels a disjunction between one’s sex at birth and one’s gender identity, why is the only course of action to bring the body into closer conformity with the person’s psychological state, rather than vice versa?” That’s the course of action for the transitioning person. The course of action for their loved ones is substantially different. In essence, the Caitlyn Jenners are saying to their spouses or paramours, “I’m now a woman, and that makes you a lesbian.”

Wax notes that the declaration of this new reality — with the expectation that spouses comply and conform — “destabilizes some of the foundational elements of LGBT theory on homosexuality.” Well, yes. But the true “foundational element” of LGBT theory isn’t so much “born this way” as it is “I do what I want.”

Even on the Left, saner minds are figuring out what I pointed out some time ago, which is that we laugh at and despair over all forms of body mutilation except for the gender type, which is wrongly celebrated. Daniel Harris, a hard Left gay man who hates Republicans, wrote a much-talked-about article for The Antioch Review stating the obvious, which I’ll summarize here in my own words: Body mutilation is always a sign of some sort of mental disability and that the LGBT world and its fellow travelers cannot say “All body mutilation is a tragic joke, except for gender mutilation, which is a wondrous thing.”

Or, to quote from Harris himself:

. . . TGs have ambushed the debate and entangled us in a snare of such trivialities as the proper pronouns with which to address them, protocol as Byzantine and patronizing as the etiquette for addressing royalty. They insult us with the pejorative term “cisgender,” which they use to describe those of us who accept, however unenthusiastically, our birth gender, as opposed to the enlightened few who question their sex. Moreover, they shame us into silence by ridiculing the blunders we make while trying to come to grips with their unique dilemmas, decrying our curiosity about their bodies as prurience and our unwillingness, or even inability, to enter into their own (often unsuccessful) illusion as narrow-mindedness.

Federal Judge In Texas Demands Justice Dept. Lawyers Take Ethics Class – New York Times

A federal judge in Texas on Thursday excoriated the Justice Department, demanding ethics classes for the department’s lawyers and ordering other sanctions for those who argued the case involving President Obama’s immigration executive actions.

He also ordered the government to produce a list of about 100,000 immigrants who entered illegally and who are participating in a government program that protects them from deportation.

In a blistering order, Judge Andrew S. Hanen of Federal District Court in Brownsville accused the Justice Department lawyers of lying to him during arguments in the case, and he barred them from appearing in his courtroom.

He also demanded that Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch provide a “comprehensive plan” within 60 days describing how she will prevent unethical conduct in the future, as well as making sure the department’s Office of Professional Responsibility effectively prevents misconduct among its lawyers.

He also said that any Justice Department lawyer who wants to appear in a state or federal court in any of the 26 states who filed suit to block Mr. Obama’s executive actions should be required to take an annual three-hour ethics course for the next five years…

Texas Building Its Own Fort Knox? Yes Indeed – Real Strategy
.

.
Last year Texas Governor Gregg Abbott signed HB 483, allowing the creation of the Texas Gold Depository. “With the passage of this bill, the Texas Bullion Depository will become the first state-level facility of its kind in the nation, increasing the security and stability of our gold reserves and keeping taxpayer funds from leaving Texas to pay for fees to store gold in facilities outside our state,” he said last June.

This gold bank would allow Texas to recover the gold that it has stored in New York vaults, and give Texan citizens and institutions a chance to store their gold in the facility, and open checking and savings accounts that would be valued in gold rather than dollars. This even opens the possibility of making gold transactions electronically for the very first time.

Now several companies are offering competing plans to build the depository, including Brinks, Anthem Vaults, and Texas Precious Metals. TPM wants to create a sprawling 46,000-square-foot facility with 12-inch concrete walls…

Glenn Beck Lavishes Praise On Mark Zuckerberg, Attacks Fellow Conservatives – Breitbart

Surprising no one, Glenn Beck, after joining the recent conservative delegation to Facebook, has defended the social network and its progressive CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, while attacking fellow conservatives for being too demanding of the company.

It’s unclear if he’s gunning for a role in their PR department in the wake of The Blaze’s financial difficulties, but even if he isn’t, it’s hard to tell the difference. He’s written a post on Medium as well as his own personal website, given an interview to TIME, and appeared on his own syndicated talk radio show to defend the social network.

In his post on Medium, whose CEO he met before flying down to Facebook’s sprawling headquarters in his private jet, Beck attacked conservatives who suggested more political diversity in Facebook’s staff. Astonishingly, he accused fellow conservatives who attended the meeting of staging a “Salem Witch Trial” against the company. If that wasn’t enough, Beck also appears to have swallowed Mark Zuckerberg’s argument that the company never discriminated against conservatives.

“I was convinced that Facebook is behaving appropriately and trying to do the right thing” wrote Beck. “They were humble, open, and listened intently to everyone in the room.”

He didn’t stop with one Medium article either. Beck is now talking to the media on behalf of Facebook, giving an interview to TIME in which he again defended the company’s trustworthiness.

“Not one time did I get a sense that they were saying these things to get this off their back. I think they’re sincere” said Beck “Mark [Zuckerberg] looks a man in the eye the entire time. I watched him carefully.”…

House Votes To Ban Confederate Flag At National Cemeteries – Breitbart
.

.
House Speaker Paul Ryan tells his Republican party members they’d better get used to “taking tough votes,” such as one to ban the Confederate flag at historic cemeteries controlled by the federal government.

In a roll-call vote, the House voted 265 to 159 to block descendants of Confederate veterans from flying the historic banner over mass graves even on the days when flags have been permitted in the past.

Democrats hailed the move as a strike against “racism, slavery and division, as Ryan warned opponents that they are just going to have to “take it” when votes don’t go their way.

Speaker Ryan seemed to insist that the issue wasn’t important enough for Republicans to fight for…

Over $300,000 Transferred From Hillary Victory Fund To State Parties Is Unaccounted For – Washington Free Beacon

Over $300,000 that was transferred from Hillary Clinton’s joint fundraising venture to state Democratic parties is unaccounted for, a review of campaign finance records by the Washington Free Beacon has found.

The Hillary Victory Fund, a joint fundraising effort between the Hillary Clinton campaign, the Democratic National Committee, and 32 state parties, allows Clinton mega-donors to cut much larger checks than what can be contributed directly to candidates or committees by law. A single donor can give upwards of $700,000 to the fund.

According to Hillary Clinton’s website, the first $2,700 from an individual is allocated to Clinton’s campaign, while the next $33,400 is given to the Democratic National Committee. Any additional amount is then supposed to be split equally among the Democratic state parties.

A Free Beacon review of the fund’s disbursements and the subsequent financial statements of all 32 Democratic state parties found that hundreds of thousands in money transfers sent from the Hillary Victory Fund was never reported as received by parties in five states.

One such state was Louisiana. The Hillary Victory Fund reported sending $64,000 to the Democratic State Central Committee of Louisiana on Dec. 1, 2015, followed by a second transfer of $80,000 on Jan. 4…

Oklahoma Legislature Passes Bill Making It A Felony To Perform An Abortion – The Oklahoman

Oklahoma would be the first state in the nation to effectively ban abortion under a bill lawmakers approved Thursday and sent to the governor to be signed into law.

Gov. Mary Fallin declined to say what she would do with the measure, which would make it a felony to perform an abortion, punishable by at least a year in prison. Also, it calls for revoking the medical license of any doctor who performs the procedure.

Senate Bill 1552, approved 33-12, likely will lead to a court challenge. Its author, Sen. Nathan Dahm, welcomes that, saying he hopes the issue goes to the U.S. Supreme Court and results in the overturning of the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, which legalized abortion.

“Most people know I am for defending rights,” said Dahm, R-Broken Arrow. “Those rights begin at conception.”

“I believe it’s a core function of state government to defend that life from the beginning of
conception.”

Dahm said an anti-abortion legal group has agreed to defend any lawsuit over the legislation at no charge. The Oklahoma attorney general’s office is in charge of defending the state from lawsuits…

Black Lives Matter Leader Charged With Pimping A 17-Year-Old Girl – Daily Caller

A Black Lives Matter activist who operates a social justice charity was arrested last month on charges of sex trafficking a 17-year-old girl.

Charles Wade co-founded Operation Help or Hush in the aftermath of the August 2014 police shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo. The group claims it helps raise funds for the needy and provide food and shelter for activists.

But according to a police report obtained by TheDC, the 33-year-old Wade was raising money in more explicit ways.

He was arrested on April 25 at a motel where he resided in College Park, Md. Police say he was using the motel room to pimp a 17-year-old girl.

He’s charged with seven counts, including felonies for human trafficking. The charges carry sentences of up to 25 years in prison and a $15,000 fine. Wade posted $25,000 bond and left jail on April 27…

Donald Trump on Wednesday disclosed the names of 11 candidates he would consider to fill the current vacancy at the U.S. Supreme Court. The list includes six federal appeals court judges appointed by former Republican President George W. Bush, as well as five state Supreme Court justices with conservative credentials.

Here’s a quick look at the Trump 11:

• Steven Colloton

Judge Steven Colloton, who lives in Iowa, has been a judge since 2003 for the Eighth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which covers a large swath of the Midwest. He was appointed to the position by President George W. Bush. Prior to becoming a federal judge, he served as the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Iowa and had been a federal line prosecutor in that district for eight years. Seattle Officers Stop Several East African Migrants With Suitcases Of Cash Leaving US, And They’re All On Welfare – Gateway Pundit

Seattle and King County officials have stopped several migrants with suitcases full of American dollars leaving the United States.

All of the suspects carrying the suitcases full of cash were on welfare.

KING5 reported:

Travelers pulling suitcases full of cash started showing up at Sea-Tac Airport last year holding tickets for flights headed out of the United States.

Transporting large amounts of cash overseas isn’t illegal. But it was who was carrying the money… and where it was going that caught the attention of security officials.

“It’s not against the law. You can travel outside the United States with as much money as you choose, as long as you declare it,” said Mike Bol, who heads U.S. Customs and Border Protection operations at the airport.

The people carrying the cash didn’t hide the fact from Customs. Just the opposite, they reported it. Anyone traveling out of the United States is required to declare any amount over $10,000 and fill out a one-page federal form.

These reports are what caught the attention of terrorism investigators in Seattle…

A savage hate crime at the University of Iowa that sent shockwaves across campus turned out to be just another hoax, police said Tuesday.

The case of Marcus Owens caused a deluge of outrage when it first emerged in early May. Owens claimed on the night of April 30 he was attacked, out of nowhere and without provocation, by three white college-age men, who beat him bloody while screaming racial slurs and landed him in the hospital.

Activist students claimed the attack showed a climate of racial hatred in Iowa City, and they also denounced the university for taking until May 4 to issue a statement about the matter.

“How many black students must be a victim of a hate crime before an alert is sent out,” one student complained online at the time…

Wyblog : ObamaCare should be renamed WTFCARE!

If you like your plan, too fucking bad Love Barry!

Choices? You now have fewer.

The number of insurance companies offering health coverage via the Affordable Care Act marketplace in New Jersey will dip to four next year when Oxford Health Plans, a subsidiary of UnitedHealthcare, pulls out.

UnitedHealthcare, the nation’s largest insurer, announced in April that it would leave the Obamacare marketplaces next year in most of the 34 states in which it offered coverage. High health costs for the small number of people who signed up in those markets led it to project $650 million in losses this year, the company reported. The company did not reveal its plans for New Jersey at that time.

A state insurance official notified the company on Tuesday 5/17 that the withdrawal of its HMO offerings was approved, to take effect on Jan. 1. The HMO will no longer be offered either on healthcare.gov or in the state’s unsubsidized individual market.

There goes my plan.

I liked it. But, I can’t keep it.

Of course I liked my pre-Obamacare plan better, but I couldn’t keep that either.

Just a side note here why is it, if the goal of O-Care is to ensure everyone, and make it more affordable, would the law limit Americans to ONLY three months in which they can buy insurance? I think we know that answer

Bob Belvedere: Contempt is a virtue

Great thoughts from Mr. Belvedere Here is a sample, but please go read it all

As a man who struggles every moment of every, single day to be Virtuous and worthy of Respect, I seek to base all of my Contempt for the actions of others on the answer to the question: Is the action in question an act of Moral Treason.

To be guilty of an act of Moral Treason one must consciously betray ones obligations to God and to his fellowmen.

I have Contempt for any man who is willing to make himself Servile to any Despot, would-be or actual, in order to be allowed to simply continue to exist. I have Contempt for any man who willingly chains himself in Enslavement for the sake of survival, forsaking his Duty to his Posterity [which is every American, be he or she of his own blood or not, that shall come after him].

Your DaleyGator Quote of the Day “I’m glad that you do, because anyone who says that should shut the fuck up.””

That is from Daryl Hall. Diogenes Middle Finger has the context

The crazies at Salon.com have become some of the most enthusiastic proponents of the ‘Cultural Appropriation‘ bandwagon, piloted by the left on behalf of racist blacks and hispanics. But one interviewer walked right into a buzz saw spouting this nonsense recently in an interview with singer Daryl Hall of Hall and Oats…

One of the current debates is over “cultural appropriation” – The idea that white people should not appropriate the culture of ethnic and racial minorities. I know that you don’t like the term “blue eyed soul.” Have you followed this conversation?

“Are you trying to say that I don’t own the style of music that I grew up with and sing? I grew up with this music. It is not about being black or white. That is the most naïve attitude I’ve ever heard in my life. That is so far in the past, I hope, for everyone’s sake. It isn’t even an issue to discuss. The music that you listened to when you grew up is your music. It has nothing to do with “cultural appropriation.”

I agree with you, but…

“I’m glad that you do, because anyone who says that should shut the fuck up.”

Well, this entire critique is coming back…

“I’m sorry to hear it. Who is making these critiques? Who do they write for? What are their credentials to give an opinion like that? Who are they?”

Much of it is academic.

“Well, then they should go back to school. Academia? Now, there’s a hotbed of idiocy!”

“We live in America. That’s our entire culture. Our culture is a blend. It isn’t split up into groups. Anyone who says otherwise is a fool – worse than a fool – a dangerous fool.”

I also know that you don’t like the term “blue eyed soul”…

“No, and it is for this very reason. There is no color to soul. Soul music comes from the heart………”

BRAVO sir! We need more, MUCH more of this type of response to the Leftist agitators and their inanity.

My personal response to these miscreants is simple

Daniel Greenfield: Trees are racist now?

Daniel Greenfield looks at the latest nonsense from the Collectivist Left

Mickey Fearn, the National Park Service Deputy Director for Communications and Community Assistance, made headlines when he claimed that black people don’t visit national parks because they associate them with slaves being lynched by their masters.

Well, why not, I mean everything else is RAAAAACIST, so…..

The origin of the bizarre racist lynching theory of national parks appears to be Carolyn Finney. Finney was an actress noted for, apparently, little more than an appearance in The Nutt House. Then she became a cause célèbre for race activists when she was denied tenure by Berkeley’s Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management because her work didn’t meet academic standards.

Her supporters blamed racism, rather than her academic shortcomings, and protested vocally.

These days she’s a diversity advisor to the U.S. National Parks Advisory Board. What wasn’t good enough for UC Berkeley is good enough for national parks. She is also the author of Black Faces, White Spaces. In it she claims that “oppression and violence against black people in forests and other green spaces can translate into contemporary understandings that constrain African-American environmental understandings.”

Greenfield writes about the insane theories these radicals have come up with and explains what is really going on

That is what this is really about. The Obama era has rotted the Federal government with radical figures who are at war with fundamental American concepts and values. They intend to use their power to destroy those concepts and values. This is another example of that same ugly phenomenon.

Alcee Hastings complains of a “green ceiling” for hiring minorities. Aside from the usual diversity hiring push and buying from minority businesses in the “inclusiveness” proposals, not to mention nonsense about racist trees and scary uniforms, is a move to divert the focus to urban development. Then there’s the flow of money to “community organizations” to engage “culturally diverse communities”.

All that is code for robbing parks and moving the money into the same network of corrupt organizations that already swallows all the money that the Federal government can throw at its local projects. This isn’t inclusiveness. It’s blackmail. Advertise in our publications. Give us grants. Or your trees are racist.

For all the safe space rhetoric, the arguments ultimately come down to money. It’s not about racist tree symbolism or uniform colors. It’s about creating positions for people like Carolyn Finney or Mickey Fearn so they can lecture us on how parks are privilege and nature is racist. It’s about finding yet another unlikely target for baseless claims of racism to be milked for money, grants, ads and contracts.

Follow the money
