It is true that #mobile #data consumption has increased after introduction of #4G/LTE in #India. 3G didn't have any impact on data consumption. #RelianceJio brought the interruptions to telecom industry with cheap #tariffs and competitors were forced to match them. Consolidation in telecom industry is taking place to increase #efficiency and prompt services. With so many regional #languages, data consumption would increase steeply in India compared to single language regions. #5G #technology may not arrive soon in India. However, factors like 4G, content creations in various languages, cheap mobiles would drive data consumption in India. No wonder it would be second in the world!
