Of course, double NAT is usually the limit without separating VRFs/route table/whatever. With a bunch of architects that never talk to each other, who all seem to be taking assorted mind altering substances, you can get some really scary shit.
I have one client where each service has a stock standard static NAT. That's only accessed by a reverse proxy. Which, has it's own static NAT. But clients don't connect directly to that, no, they connect through an abomination source+destination NAT thing on a different vrf. Usually from a source NAT on yet another vrf. All NATs on the same device. If I could burn it down , I would. This client has maybe fifty, heavily used services configured this way. The diagram needed layers and layers and dragons.
