The funny (and unfortunate) thing about NYC-based criticism of tavern/deep/Chicago pizza in general, is that it’s usually based on zero on-the-ground, actual eating experience. Which is why I tried 56 pizzas there (after the 185 here), just to be able to have the conversation.
