Thanks you, Jonathan. A very sad day indeed, and just one more notch against freedom of expression and anti-intellectualism on the left. Liberals need to speak out strongly here. It is hard to find a more perfect editor of than Ian Buruma and it should be ashamed.

Thx. Editors make hard calls every day and sometimes err. Criticism and correction are fine. Firing at the behest of advertisers and Twitter is not. Worrisome precedent here.
