Rafael, I'm questioning Lahav about the claim that Hill "calls for genocide." I'm skeptical that mass murder is a fair, journalistic reading of his intent or meaning. You then made a point about Jews expelled from Islamic countries. This does not prove that Hill seeks genocide.

1. You say "ethnic cleansing" but don't you mean expulsion or exodus? Do you think that's the same as "genocide" (your accusation of )? 2. Why exaggerate to 600 years? In 1918 (100 yrs), would a Jew be safer in Christian or in Muslim countries?

Yes, let's start there. Has there been more genocide (mass murder) of Jews in Christian majority or Muslim majority countries? What does this indicate about the effect of Zionism or the establishment of the State of Israel on meanings of the phrase? (from the river to sea)

I just realized that I've never recommended this to you, . I love this actor but I've only listened to this podcast twice. It's so hard, but also--your jam.

I face this problem — efforts to understand a radically oppositional group (e.g., Westboro Baptists or Neturei Karta) is misread as apologetics or agreement. Let there be understanding and empathy, for its own sake (li’shma)... and for our sake!

Doesn’t the phrase “From the river to the sea” have a range of meanings? It takes a chain of inferences to see it as a call for genocide, right? So, don’t we need to be cautious when attributing the most extreme implication?

Spent the day at Angola prison & was overwhelmed by how vast it was. 18,000 acres, larger than Manhattan. A former plantation turned prison w/thousands of black men still working in its fields. It was haunting. I’m reminded that no matter how large a cage it, it’s still a cage.

I think it's hilarious when people demand Jews denounce rabbis. That's as close as we have to a national pastime.

Today , we ran op-eds from a Baptist seminary prof and a Potawatomi Christian writer on the ethics of missions to "unreached people," followed up on a man deported from a NC church, wrote about the Slave Bible, and religious responses to foster care. All this and more

Here's a simple pro-Palestinian tweet from anti-Zionist Jews. It's hardly political, mostly an affirmation by haredi Jews of - culture. Unpredictable?!

Gill cites the Babylonian Talmud (AZ 19b) for this 3 part curriculum. Timothy "was privately to read the Scriptures, for his own benefit, he was publicly to expound them... to the advantage of others... exhortation and doctrine, are branches of the ministerial work...
