Quite rightful comment. Separating Gaza from the West Bank will only invigorate Palestinian crisis and increase the chances of an imminent war with Hamas. Reconciliation shall be forgotten.

I don’t get how *constitutionally* this is Fatah’s decision to make. I could stretch my imagination and see how the PLO Executive Committee could call for this. But the fact that Fatah - in practice Abbas - has this power shows how hollowed out Palestinian institutions are.
