I will sign an order this morning to remove religion as a factor that can be used in admissions in virtually all primary schools. This applies from today. I will also bring into operation other key parts of the School Admissions Act to ensure greater fairness in admissions

“With most schools now being required to accept children on an equal basis, they must also be required to treat those children equally within the classroom.” While there are many reasons to celebrate today, Education Equality will continue to push for in schools

Finally, parents will be able to enjoy the right to freely choose and practice their own beliefs without the fear of being refused a school place as a result. It will come as a huge relief to many parents who currently fear discrimination because of their beliefs.

The is no more as the Bill has passed. The passing of this law means that non-religious and minority religion families will now be treated equally in admission to the majority of our publicly-funded schools.

In 2017 they were informed by that this funding was illegal under the . They were forced to return it leaving them with no funds for 2018. Why was this law applied to when they are not political actors?
