US corporate media can only understand international affairs through a selfish, cynical and paranoid Cold War lens of win-lose outcomes. The concern is not peace and justice but whether the US empire maintains a position of global dominance and outmaneuvers "enemies" like China.

“I would not be lifting my foot off the throat of North Korea...” this is a diplomat from Australia, no less a woman?

Mike Pompeo: "The condition precedent for the exercises not to proceed was a productive, good-faith negotiations being ongoing. And at the point it’s concluded that they are not, the President’s commitment…will no longer be in effect."

In my moment of despair on the ignorance of American liberals and Democrats attacking Trump from the right for this historic Korea peace deal, a true act of solidarity came from in this interview. 🙏❤️✌🏾

Thank you for quickly sending this out to challenge those addicted to the status quo of war games and feeding off the military industrial complex. “The president deserves credit for taking a long overdue and politically difficult step.”

Peace is bad for business. Stocks of weapons companies plummet when US and North made a deal.

This is as good of a time as any to brush up on the erasure of the Korean left in US mainstream media.

How fabulous! Moon’s party sweeps South Korea local elections! The peace train is unstoppable! Paging liberals and Democrats: these are your counterparts in South Korea, a major US ally. Thanks for sharing!

I fail to see how this is bad for SK. Moon's gov was central to the summit and played key role. What I know of Moon's politics, he'd be happy to halt exercises if it helps & he values K peace/unification over present US-ROK military alliance. He has v strong public support.

The voice of sanity in the dark well of the blob, corporate media and liberal American exceptionalism. Thank you . Such great analysis here, like this: “If Trump followed advice from the left he would have stayed home like past presidents.”

Wash DC was NOT the place to celebrate , largely thanks to the establishment Democrats who did NOTHING under Obama. My spirits were buoyed by the fierce Hawaii Congresswoman whose position on is among the best. 🙏❤️

Women Cross DMZ has been so fortunate to work with in Vancouver and in South Korea to ensure women’s voices in peace processes and look forward to building a powerful US peace movement to see through a final peace agreement with North Korea.

I offer my heartfelt congratulations and welcome the success of the historic North Korea-United States summit. This is just a beginning and there may be many difficulties ahead, but we will never go back to the past again and never give up on this bold journey.

Statement from Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the summit: "The fact that leaders from both countries can sit together and have an equal conversation already has significant meaning. This is creating a new history, and Beijing welcomes and supports such outcome."

lol the peace efforts are being LED by the S. Koreans. SKs leftwing President Moon said he was very happy w/ the meeting. 81% of S Koreans supported the summit. 88% supported Kim-Moon summit. Moon has an 86% approval rating. These people have no clue what they're talking about.
