. on 's sentence: When you compare it to what poor defendants get for much lesser crimes you see the inequities in our system. The sentencing guidelines were put in place so people across the nation for similar crimes would be similarly sentenced.

. on GM plant closing: This is a long-term problem that you certainly see going all the way back to Reagan era, the decimation of unions, loss of the manufacturing industry. I think what we see now is a kind of openly predatory nature that we haven't before.

.: has gotten 3 years & he is still going to jail after all the cooperating he's done... ... refused to cooperate & actually made it harder on the prosecutors & he gets basically one more year. There is no sense between those 2 sentences

.: ...this judge has gone too far... He gave a pass. It's completely inappropriate. This is why we have sentencing guidelines... and frankly they should be mandatory so that everybody who does the same conduct gets the same sentence.

.: I think the judge's sentence in this case, the extremely light sentence, makes a pardon from the president more likely because it makes it look like what Manafort did wasn't really a big deal, which of course is the opposite of the case.
