It’s so much. And if something is good and just, there have often been so many separate groups and people working on it for so long, but these scenes so often isolate themselves as The Only People Taking Action

Yeah this was my guess—so much of that tech seems to rely on materials that aren’t anywhere near environmentally friendly, so that’s probably a future challenge for brands like this

Yeah and it’s tough bc I’m split between really respecting the work and impact of activists but also often feeling like these scenes misunderstand (and sometimes vastly overestimate) their relationship to progress at large

Honestly this is v a illuminating articulation of some skepticism I feel toward some of the activist scenes that are tangential to some of the topics I cover. Like their POV is important but also limited in ways they don’t seem to realize
